#3 The invisible players bug in TF2 General Discussion

Ahh, I'd never heard that. I guess we just gotta wait.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between "regular" and tournament mode, that would still cause the problem?
As far as I'm concerned, they're the exact same, with different win conditions

They never fixed it.

I was playing some Mixes last night, and my Demo went invisible.
Fuck you Valve.

#10 Final Combat: Chinese TF2 'ripoff' in TF2 General Discussion
VirulenceA slightly less egregious ripoff would be H.A.V.E. Online. They called it MicroVolts when it came to North America. It looks like third person TF2 with every single anime skin from fpsbanana installed.

I always thought MicroVolts was trying to rip off Quake, more than it is TF2.

I don't even know why you'd want to.

#6 Help with stream in Off Topic

Judging by your hardware, you should be getting much better performance.

Your hardware tramples on mine, yet I can stream 60fps 720p, while playing at 200 fps.

The issue shouldn't be in your Internet, either.
I'm stumped.

#3 Help with stream in Off Topic

What quality/fps are you streaming at?

If you're in 1080p 60fps you'll definitely see a difference.
I think you should be fine if you stream in 720p 30fps.

Also play TF2 in DX8.
Are you using a graphics config?

There are so many variables...

#5 Changing my processor in Hardware

Yeah thanks guys! I somehow didn't even notice that little bump was there.

With that and a bit of force, I successfully removed it, and installed my brand new 8350 :D

It's quite loud right now, and make a constant whirring noise, but I've been told that it's normal, especially for new processors.

Again, thanks so much for the help!

#1 Changing my processor in Hardware

So in my last thread, I was recommended to get a better processor.
I bought the 8350 and it arrived today.

I got in to the PC, all happy and stuff I started on the changing processer.
Every tutorial I saw, tells me to remove the Heatsink Fan power cable from "CPU_FAN" on the motherboard.
Much to my dismay, the first step is where I'm stuck... Quite literally speaking.

I've tried to remove it, and it won't budge. I don't want to put TOO much force in to it, but I put enough to lift the case a tiny way from the table, and it still wouldn't come out.

Any ideas why this could be?
I sent a message to seller I got it from, but who knows how long they'll take to reply?

Pictures of the offending cable.

All of my renames are based on inside jokes, except for one...

Item: Stormy Storm Stainless Pot

I used to have a 0.8 upload and stream at 800 bit rate.
Looked like shit, though.

#28 Help me choose a new GPU? in Hardware

I plan to buy another stick of 8gb RAM, to get 16gb total, but it's not really priority at the moment.
Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Eh, I cracked and bought the 8350.

Now I just need to wait for it to arrive, and figure out how to actually install it :c

No idea how much of this is actually useful

Also, since it doesn't appear to list my PSU, I have a 500W Xigamtek PSU.

Also, thanks for being so patient and helpful. I really appreciate it!

#22 Help me choose a new GPU? in Hardware

This is so much to take in at once T~T

I've decided NOT to upgrade my GPU and upgrade the CPU instead, since that appears to be the best option.
I have a pretty crappy PSU, but that wouldn't be too much to upgrade, right?

Just upgrading the CPU alone shouldn't put too much strain on the PSU, as far as I can tell
