-I disagree with others on this thread saying it's "overedited" - I think that's not the right word for it, I think what people are reacting to is that a lot of your editing choices hurt the video by confusing or jarring the viewer. There's a pretty simple fix to this, which is: while you're editing, keep playing back what you've done and try to view it objectively. If your editing choices seem poor or jarring to yourself, they will be poor and jarring to the viewer, and you should try something different. This is what yerb means by "self-review."
-If you have to use clips where you miss a lot or are just running around doing nothing for a bit, use cuts (or other transitions?) to eliminate that dead time between frags. You seem to understand this concept but you only use it in some parts of the video for whatever reason.
-I honestly really liked 0:57 - 1:02, this is really great. The sniper frag was great, the kill happens as the beat drops, and the transition to the next clip was solid because you made the framing of the thirdperson shots of the sniper and scout similar enough that it wasn't jarring.
-Overall, hold yourself to a high standard of quality and spend more time thinking about how to use editing to guide the viewer's attention. It's great that you sync editing choices to the music but you need to understand when a choice is jarring or unpleasant to the viewer and then change it. Your video description says you only spent 7 hours making this, and it shows. You're not going to be a perfect editor instantly, but spending more time on projects will help.
Reuploads of the frag movies I made with my old alias/channel.

Is this an alternate universe approach to the events in this video, featuring Krusher99?
@Sineti I do kinda the same thing as you're suggesting - I just set graphics to max and borrow the killnotice only hud from lawena's files without actually launching the program. As letto says, you may not get maximum quality that way (depending on your PC/config setup), but it is faster.

This is the answer you're looking for ^^^
HLAE is not only higher quality than the ingame smoothing tool, it's also faster and easier. You can't go wrong with this.
z3tashorasPretty good. Maybe except for that zoom-in on the sniper, should be a better way to do that.
smooth stvs w/ hlae which it looks like you did later in the vid
Are you talking about the shot where the camera is moving straight backward away from the sniper? I know there's some way to do a "zoom" effect where the FOV changes fluidly within the smooth but I felt lazy so I just did it in post. It is indeed a bit pixel-y at the beginning of that shot, is that what you're reacting to?
pyxelizethat was so fucking sick
honestly way better than what i made, i really enjoyed it
you're a very talented editor
Tysm pyxelize! <3
Also, lots of respect for you for working with TFTV and consistently pumping out highlights, you're really good at using music to accentuate frags and I really enjoy it in your videos.
I was inspired by TFTV's match highlight videos to edit together one of my own. I had a lot of fun making this -- I know there's an official clip for this match already but I couldn't resist. Enjoy!
Shoutouts to Deer and pyxelize for pointing me towards a couple plugins that were critical for making this video (hlae and CastingEssentials).
Also, cp_reckoner is a goddamn gorgeous map.
Hey, I'm trying to do some frag video editing and when I returned the crosshair to its default through the in-game options menu in preparation for recording, I found that the default crosshair was not switching upon weapon swap like it normally does.
How can I fix this and restore the crosshair switching functionality? I have some limited experience with scripting so I'd be willing to poke around in the back end and change code if necessary.
I've thought about just doing a clean install but if there's an easier fix I'd much prefer that.
Edit: after a clean install I've discovered that I just needed to select the "none" option under the ingame menu for crosshairs. I blame bad design.
Hey, the crosshair switching for the default crosshair is broken for me. Which files should I go to and what should I do to fix this?
How are you getting kill notices properly using what I assume are STV demos? Did something come along to replace statusspec?
Unless I'm mistaken pug/mixchamp servers are down as well
