edinclearcut is so bad
literally what do you do as soldier on that map except get shot at by scouts
i would rather play viaduct
I found that soldier is high impact but low kill on this map if that makes any sense? I'm getting fat damage but not so many kills. Very fun to play for me especially compared to viaduct. At least i can actually get in to kill things and the terrain doesn't eat 30% of my rockets. Prioritise syncing with your team and giving your scouts opportunities to frag.

Something about this map makes it absolutely MISERABLE to play soldier on. I think it has to do with the size of the arenas making soldier cover to much ground and giving scouts all the warning and space in the world to kite-chip you to death. Lots of good concepts and the map is very pretty but i just feel that there is something fundamentally wrong with the scale of everything? IDK im not a map maker.
MenachemI know we're all autists whove been playing the same game for 10 years but these maps are legitimately decent. Just because we've nailed down how maps like granary and metalworks play and know how to work around their flaws doesnt make them good. I bet if propaganda had been in tf2 like 2010 or earlier we wouldnt even dream of removing it now
If this was the pre scout speed medic era propaganda wouldnt be such a shit map. I feel like most of this map's issues relate to the current scout meta making it MISERABLE to play as soldier. We should not be adding scout maps to the pool with a already scout dominant meta.
Clearcut is fine. Way better than all the other KOTH maps at least from my initial impression.

clearcut is actually pretty great, propaganda is okay (better than badlands & granary imo)
The soldier meta on this map boils down to almost nothing but high bombs because there is almost no areas on the entire map where scouts cant see you coming from a mile away and just kite-chip you to death. It's not hard. It's just incredibly aggravating and unfun.
I like clearcut a hell of a lot more than viaduct. First KOTH map i actually enjoy playing soldier on.
Fuck propaganda. Most miserable map i have ever played soldier on. Would literally rather play viaduct.

We buy it on sales freeze most of it. We leave 1/2 a sick out at a time for soft and the rest of the pack goes in the fridge until needed.
