I initially thought this would be a really late thread about people's sunglasses and suggestions for good, cheap ones.
In fact, that should've been the first reply to the thread.
SpaceCadetUnlocks are the one part of Comp TF2 that I never could understand. Maybe I am too old school of a player but I started the first day of quake and then QWTF, where your individual skill and the skill of your team determined who won and who lost.
Personally, I believe comp TF2 should have no unlocks at all. I can't understand why certain "items" can give a team an advantage over other teams who are less skilled.
Everything should be even across the board. In those situations, the better team will win every time. In the end, isn't that what Competitive play is about? The better team wins and individual items should not be a factor in determining that.
Several items give more specialized roles which have only been beneficial to the game. Kritzkrieg, Gunboats, Equalizer, and Boston Basher to name a few. Banning all unlocks is detrimental to the game for both players and spectators.
You guys have to realize that the first impressions of the new quickfix pointed towards a bright future of faster gameplay. Mixup's games were very fun to watch, and early gameplay didn't particularly showcase how Quick-Fix vs Quick-Fix would play out. Heavy wasn't even imagined to make that big of an impact until it was too late.

Exceptions like these are commonplace in the English language.
Irregardless most definitely IS a word, albeit an improper one that sounds awful and shouldn't be used. It's a synonym for regardless, irregardless of its roots. All you really have to do if someone brings it up is correct them politely, otherwise you're just coming off as an arrogant pedant.
Personally, I'm fine with people using words that sound wrong or improper as long as I understand what they mean from the context.
dellortIf you delete the original map file and rename the modded map to the original I think the demo is playable on the new map (isn't that how "The Storm" got the in game rain effect?). Anyways I think there are easier ways to do it.
I went this route and got "map version mismatch" or something.
Then again, it was with an older demo on a version of a default map before the recent-ish update.
You can definitely override the sv_pure on the demos, I can confirm that I've changed skins with sv_cheats
I did try a lot with the signs though, and it never seems to work. It was my understanding that you have to actually edit the map
