#149 how do you think australia will do at i49 in TF2 General Discussion
yoonamaking the assertion that Australian teams can't compete with NA teams because of a smaller community is funny- If that was the case, our country wouldn't win at any sports..... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia_at_the_Olympics, etc.)

iM have been playing together for a long time, and if you think they pose no threat.....

u r silly

This is a bad example really. After a certain size, the amount of talent coming out of a country is pretty much the same. Then it becomes all about training.

There's a good point being made in that the Aus/NZ scenes are small. It means the people with top level talent are going to be much less numerous, and the best way to improve is to play with your peers. iM is pretty unmatched in Aus so the thinking isn't really OFF. However, claiming the meta is stale is a little more questionable. Euro and NA have well established metas that Aus can learn from without necessarily playing in those leagues.

Only i49 will tell and frankly, I hope iM does insanely well. Do you know how fucking incredible it'll be to see THREE undefeated teams from three leagues playing against each other at the SECOND community-sponsored world LAN tourney?

Let's make good hype and try not to shit on each other, yeah?

boomerlooks to me like yuki is in for a rude awakening

idk dude, I'm pretty sure most people would react the same way to their team being shittalked when you've put in a ton of work and have confidence in your abilities.

And honestly, nobody can really say how they'll perform at i49. They might get owned, they might blow NA and Europe out of the water. I mean shit, Europe didn't expect NA to do so well last i46.

frknRemember that demos were broken for a decent amount of time, though.

Yep, well over two months. I spent easily 50+ hours on a 3 minute frag video (though I'm significantly less experienced than LuckyLuke is so there's that) and the documentary clocks in at 36 minutes. I can barely even imagine how time-consuming that shit was.

SalamancerWow that was the most aggressive post I have ever made on this forum. Shit, sorry dude.

Salamancer is such a cool guy he apologizes for being somewhat aggressive.

#7 The TF.TV i49 fundraiser, PART 2! in TF2 General Discussion

If Australia also gets a fundraiser going, should have a showmatch between HRG and iM. Donate to whichever of the two you wanna support! :D

I feel your pain. My area has only one provider (Time Warner Cable) which claims to give me 1 Mb/s up, but in reality it's closer to 500 Kb/s. Download is decent, but literally doing anything else on my net makes TF2 unplayable v.v

vanillaI was responding to the people saying "AUS will win if sheep snipes"

I recognize that he's crazy good at both scout and sniper, and I'm excited to see him play both against EU and USA!

That wasn't really what I felt was going on. It was "if the opportunity where a sniper can get a few picks arises, HRG will need a way to respond to sheep exploiting that opportunity"

#6 Laptop Suggestions? in Hardware

TF2 is a CPU heavy game, not a GPU heavy game. Anything with an i5 or i7 (not mobile) will more than likely be good enough.

I don't think that'll fit your price range though.

#26 What do you like/dislike about cp_granary? in Map Discussion
PhiSuggestions? If enough people support the idea/changes I might be able to get this to replace normal granary in some leagues so be adventurous. I won't be making any drastic changes but any and all bug/asymmetry issues I'd like to address.

I've made a thread on UGC about it, here's hoping it'll be used when released.

I just noticed Newegg dropped the price down by $10 more, so it's a closer match to the B&H price.

kwahlsterWHY wont they tell what bp stands for? I'm not too interested nn what it stands for, I'm just curious why they don't want to tell it.

It might just not mean anything and it just sounded nice. *shrug*
