but still I don't get the point. You guys are obviously a 3rd place team who can practice to maybe beat mix ^ or iT but you claim "there is no point we will lose". But then you also say that practicing is pointless because you can beat the lower teams with ease. I'm sure you and your team DM/MGE still and maybe give it effort when you can, but to take the stance you did in the earlier post is just silly.

I just don't get that logic of NOT TRYING because the lower competition is too easy and NOT TRYING because the upper competition is too hard?

Also, why does twitch numbers have anything to do with anything? Game seemed fine before twitch. I remember seeing 200+ in STV chat for some of the bigger games in the past and that blew my mind. And even then, we had a lot of people playing and good competition.

Twitch is nice and seeing 2000+ or even 100+ watching a TF2 game is great, but please can this not be the new indicator of whether or not the game is dead?

edit: Invite is still competitive. 3 Weeks to go and the seedings for LAN are still undecided. If I recall, every season by this point has about 3 teams locked in for LAN while the others fight for the 4th spot. How is this season different?

Platinum and crew off-class (which is normal) and it totally gets misinterpreted...Then for some reason, Platinum rolls with it and is like "ya FUCK competition!"

And now everyone is crying because the game is dead? We got maela and RR freaking out there is no competition and the game will die...dude. There have been plenty of shitty invite seasons in the past. No need to shit on the game because you guys finally made it on a good team.

As for the weak invite competition? Killing basically moves any team to invite if they A) want to pay the fees or B) were a playoff IM team. Most the playoff IM teams last season were good at their style, but that "take little risk" style would eventually be exploited by good teams (mix ^/ iT). So in the past, you see like maybe 1 or 2 teams that are in this category, but now you have like 4 teams because shit happens. New teams need a season to grow (at least). Also, there was that giant fiasco with pyyyour's team that got completely fucked. So I think its safe to say that these things are outliers.

Can we just call it a bad season, please? Like we did before? And not be so fuckin dramatic about everything?

Monk is great with a lot of duos...I'd say monk/wd or monk/wiz

I think people do decaying crypt runs in act 1. And maybe VotA runs in act 2. Game will be a lot different when xpansion comes out but that's not for awhile.

I've been playing bass for about 12 years and guitar for about 9. Growing up, I was able to play in my brother's "jazz rock" band. I think I was 13 the first time I was on stage. There is something about the bass, man....it is just so fucking groovy and cool. There are so many funky tones you can get out of a bass that it will make your soul scream.

Transitioning into high school, I knew playing the guitar would get me a lot more opportunities to meet fellow musicians and play with them since I knew a few bass players and drummers. I was able to gig around Florida for my later high school and early college years where I had some of the greatest times of my life. Met most of my friends and girlfriend throughout that period.

Looking back, I wish I did more with it after my band days...maybe be a studio musician or a teacher or something. Music is just so special to me and it is the one great things our world still has in common. I beg you! Play anything! Playing an instrument you are really passionate about can really do a lot for you.
