#4 Do pros consider scout op? in TF2 General Discussion
eeeIt's overpowered in the same way the Queen is in chess.

So by far the most powerful and valuable peace and you don't want them to ever die? Cause that is how i treat my queen when playing chess.

#1 Do pros consider scout op? in TF2 General Discussion

I have heard stuff about how many pros say scout is op, the most powerful class in 6's. I was just curious if this is true and what makes scouts so good?

Would getting a fancy gaming mouse and keyboard or getting a 144hz monitor be better than?

fade-iirc people with 4690k's weren't that much worse off than 4790 and 4790k's so i doubt it'll matter that much

ur gonna be fine with a 6600k, what gpu are you getting?

Msi Gtx 1060, would a 144hz benefit me with this gpu and cpu? Or will I not get over that fps, also how much fps should I expect with this setup if i overclock my processor to 4.5 ghz

FireOrang3OsirisOrang3biskuitIf you plan on buying such a monitor its critical that you can get consistent fps otherwise the extra Hz are useless.
Take a look at this thread.
Thanks! I am getting a nice graphics card that can run tf2 at easily 120 fps on 1440. So I don't think that is to much of a problem.
I know this sounds counterintuitive, but you need to make sure you have a fast CPU rather than a fast GPU to get more frames per second in TF2. High clock speed on mainly the first two physical cores.
My processor is 4ghz and I can probably get it faster with overclock
which one is more important than clockspeed

I5 6600k, I was going to get the i76700k but everyone told me it wasn't rly any better

Mecha_CopOrang3Thanks for all the replies, I will try to save up for a 144hz monitor. Anyone know some good ones that aren't super expensive?
If you check craigslist you might be able to find a crt you can overclock for like $25. I found a really nice Sony one that can do up to 170hz for $40. It's probably the cheapest way to acquire refresh rate.

Wait $40!!! My monitor I am getting is 150 and only has 60hz refresh rate.

clckwrklol what in the world are these responses

anything less than a 120 hz monitor is extremely bad and will dramatically hinder your gameplay. if you're going to have any fps under 120+ you better hope it's at least 60. Without 120/144 hz monitor and 144+ fps you will never unlock the potential you have and never be as consistent. being smart doesn't matter if you get out-aimed by everything you come into contact with. Before you take this game super seriously you should try to see if you can get the funds to at LEAST upgrade your computer, and more preferably both monitor and computer

yah I am building a computer right now that can run over 120 fps but the problem is i can't afford a monitor that will let me run the game at above 120 fps

Just curious on how important you think having a good computer and good fps is? Also what is considered the acceptable low on fps for getting into competitive?

#16 cp_cardinal (5CP) in Map Discussion

If I may put some of my feedback, first of all although I like the tank it is completely in the way of rollouts and should either be moved over or removed, also some of the battlements don't have very good vantage points to spam from and the map lacks a huge choke, which is good and bad I guess, my main issue though is the height of the map, both scouts pretty much need the winger to jump around. Also you should put a small healthy pack on second like there is on badlands spire so scouts can basher jump up from the back and get the health pack, otherwise there is no quick way to the point and you have to go around. Now for my positives, I rly like how there is many different pathways/routes so the game doesn't become a stalemate and how there are good entry and openings, this map has rly great back capping and flanking potential. For now this is all I can think of, but it looks like it has a really promising future.

Edit: Great rollout opportunity for demo on this map, but the soldiers rollouts could use some work, so far I have found the best rollout for demo is to start by jumping and strafing under the point and taking the lower door and grab the health pack inside, next shoot a sticky outside the right door and strafe around until you land on the platform behind the point and go walk in the door and take the health pack and then start charging your sticky and walk out the next door and u r at mid. So it is a pretty nice and easy rollout

#5 I need help with rhapsody config in Customization
Mutepretty sure you have to remove dxlevel from your launch options to stop it from reseting

I did remove it, it was working perfectly for a long time until the other day I noticed I was seeing gibs and rag dolls again and that my fps had gotten worse.
