DrewThat image is laughably fake. Why in the world would the fps counter and the dialogue at the top blur. You can't take a screenshot and see a difference in refresh rate.
It looks like they just took a still image and added horizontal blur in Photoshop. Either this was a fancy demo where they knew the exact frame/tick/whatever to take the screenshot at and was able to take it without any pause/lag in the programs to get the exact same position in all 3 images, or it's a fake.

On the upside, at least it makes the shading on the characters look like it's the beta again.
Are you using any custom sounds? I've heard that custom sounds can sometimes get fucked up when playing on pure servers.
In Original vs RL, it's all preference. A lot of high level players use the RL because they've been using it for ages and have gotten used to it.
I've been playing since release, but I use the Original almost religiously. It has improvements on aiming consistency and rocket jumping which outweigh being able to shoot around some corners. I don't find it that difficult to transition between the RL and the Original, but for some people I guess it's an issue.
vanillaI tried it out and all it does is make me uncrouch when I press jump. It doesn't seem to allow you to jump straight out of a crouch. Does someone know of a way to do that? I want to learn to c-tap for real (jump to spire from EVERYWHERE), but it'd be an interesting scripting challenge to get it to work without the wait command.
C-tapping means you tap crouch and then release and jump when only partially crouched, not fully crouched. The script won't make you jump out of a full crouch, but it helps with the timing of releasing crouch when c-tapping.
I plan on going as a dork who still lives with his parents, goes to community college, doesn't have a job, and spends all his time playing computer games even though he isn't very good at them.

vtf crosshairs can be made in Photoshop or GIMP and then converted to vtf with another program.
