I've been playing on 800 x 600 for a while, and my game feels a lot smoother on it. I want to be able to keep a low resolution with 16:9, but it's not happening. When I do -w 896 -h 504 (https://pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/), it just defaults it to 640 x 480. Help?

I posted about this command a few months ago, but people kept telling me it was some placebo bullsh*^ and it did nothing, which wasn't the case at all for me (It made a monumental difference for me, and I got my brother to try it out and he felt it as well). I opened the game today after a week, and it felt like it was responding REALLY slowly. After a reboot, I noticed that it was an "unknown command" in the console.
