One think I did as a player, but have had to give up as a caster for ease of understanding is numbering doors - calling things numbers is just a lot easier because our number words tend to be so concise lol it's a lot faster to say "one" than basically most any other word lol. You also end up with little idiosyncrasies between what circle-jerk you followed as a noobie (for the longest time their was flank/choke confusion on snakewater mid - which is partly why people have moved to calling it saw and something else - to avoid it lol).

As I've actually witnessed, it's entirely possible to have your medic die late on mid, and because of forward spawning, have the enemy medic come and pick up the dropped 60-80% uber charge that was dropped due to your scout chasing the enemy med down. Now you're pretty much sure to lose the round unless they screw up - whereas before you would've at least been able to get uber somewhat later than they would - because the gun stays on the ground for ~30 seconds, so they've got plenty of time to forward spawn and get the gun.

All this mechanic does is help a team that is winning continue to win. *Maybe* you'll be able to push from a disadvantageous position and kill the enemy medic and take his gun and snowball forward, but if you fail you've pretty much thrown the round away.

It also completely disincentivizes pushing and not popping immediately because if you happen to drop, you just handed the other team a full uber unless you kill their medic immediately *and* manage to cap the point to stop him from respawning and running back up to the gun (assuming he has a decent spawn timer and a relatively advantageous forward spawn position). .

To be fair smobo they changed stickies after leaving them mostly the same for... well half a decade. lol.

I'd never play in a format where medigun pickups with uber retention was an option because it'd only be misery. If matchmaking is ever added before the game collapses, if it ends up being a miserable play experience they'll either have to fix it or acknowledge that they purely wasted their time. Much like the episode of Seinfeld where George pitches an idea for a TV show to NBC and, when asked, "why would somebody want to watch this show?" George is only able to respond with, "because it's on tv!" Match-making certainly wouldn't work this way - "people will play matchmaking - because there will be matchmaking!" Is simply not the case. If it's a miserable play experience folks will just keep to pubbing, trading, and so forth - or stick with HL in the 6s community's case.

Having watched some of Trevor Noah's stand up from a few years ago, I think he'll be fine. It'll be different, and probably a little rocky at the start, but to be honest the mainstay of the show will still be there - especially since he'll get at least a full year of easy pickings because of a 17 strong GOP field and a Democratic race that will mostly focus on the Clintons. His main shtick is much the same as Jon Stewart's was (self-deprecating origin stories).

I think having an international host will also help play to the international audience of the show, since I suspect Trevor Noah will be a little more keen on issues pertaining to places other than the US.

But the last episode was indeed quite the event I was surprised they got every correspondent back, and the original host - I still remember watching Killborn and being a little thrown off by the new much younger looking Stewart lol.

Well they do already have their own calendar may as well change the way time is set too lol. Maybe it has something to do with recalibrating their "revolutionary" calendar for some left over time (kinda like leap year days for our calendar).

Anime is actually remarkably popular in West Asia - there are even Arab and Iranian anime production houses who make anime style content purely for domestic consumption (comedically, one of them that I saw was about aliens attacking Tokyo lol). So I wouldn't be surprised if it caught on there pretty quickly.

I prefer to show up once every 2-4 months and stay the whole night, that way I avoid seeing the same people over and over. I'm sure it's boring for the ones that've already heard my spiel lol.

I've *occasionally* had to deal with people who were being disruptive, but usually it's not that hard to deal with them - just get another noobie and send them packing - the admins are usually quite helpful if you've got somebody who is a problem. Once it gets to "serious time" I let them know that I'm gonna do my talk and to ask questions when I address them directly (since I like to deal with each player individually). If they start to irritate me I warn then, I warn them again, if they fuck with me again I just request a sub lol.

If it's somebody who is purposefully there to troll during the playing of the game, or who has a toaster of a PC or bad internet, it's good to watch each of your noobies from spec during your pregame spiel to make sure you don't have a 234 ping pocket or somebody with 6-7 FPS. If it's clearly somebody there to troll and run 24/7 market gardner or whatever, just wait until the end of the round, pause the game (some coaches like to pause after each round anyways) and get a sub (which should only take a few minutes max).

Problems solved lol. Of all the mixes I've done I've only had to deal with 3 problem people and I've prolly done 50 or more.

I don't know his name, but there was a reptile last night vying for the top 8, he eliminated 2 of the better MKX players, nobody really knows who he is, and he plays reptile - who is regarded as low tier - and he crushed people with really technical play. He is my hero.

I know in Michigan they also require your driver's license be show in order to use a debit card - that caused some embarrassing situations for me in the past (I like to leave my wallet in the car).

I had a credit card at one time, but ultimately I just switched over to purely using my debit card - I just have a checking and savings account, and disabled "overdraw" protection, so rather than sucking money out of my savings to cover checking overuse, it will simply reject the card, and I keep the overall amount of money in the checking account fairly low (usually no more than 100$) unless I plan to buy something really big. So if they want to steal my card, they'll get at most like 30$ to spend or a lot of rejection notices lol. If it's a *really* big purchase I just buy in cash because that usually keeps everything clean - bought a few cars with a bag full of money - it always goes for a good laugh.

Tri was making a valiant effort to defeat the quickfix on process middle by way of Alfa kritz, and it worked a few times, and Kermit and I both shed tears of joy.

Another option - since you probably just want a clean install of TF2 from ye' olden times, you could look on the Pirate bay - I imagine there are cracked versions on there from before the F2p update that may still have seeds. Or you could try running an xbox emulator ;) for that even more classic feel lol.
