#29 Would buffing bhops benefit TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

this game already allows bhopping however its incredibly unlikely/inconsistent to chain more than 1 or 2 bhops unless you are going down a ramp. in particular, medic has a lot of interesting bhops he can perform the only way to buff bhopping is to make it easier to do as its about as annoying to do as l4d/l4d2 bhops. buffing bhopping would be not only inconsistent in knowing when specific classes arrive at what times, but also aiming projectiles at grounded players

#15 WarOwl Likes TF2 Community in TF2 General Discussion
daybraek- compare the 1-2 people each pub that are mean to the occassional whole team in CS and were doin pretty alright in that area, even if he isnt receiving special treatment

cs has less furries, bronies, people with autism/obvious mental handicap, etc
it may come down to personal preference but id rather be shit talked over being in the same server as degenerates any day

this is also a big reason people playing tf2 have a poor opinion on it; its a game that has a self-fulfilling reputation of having many social rejects and weirdos in pubs; thus unto itself

#3 help with mouse feet in Hardware

very strange i've used hyperglides on my wmo many times without issue but i notice the corners drag on my mousepad after a couple months.

https://www.itaktech.com/products/hotline-games-ie-mouse-feet-2014-edition i bought these a while ago when i couldnt get hyperglides shipped to my island and i like them a lot more, but they skate too much on my hard mat, so id only reccomend them if you have a cloth one.

#49 "Overwatch League - The Safe Space of Esports" in Esports
vladlol you remember that time an overwatch player became an outcast from the whole community when all he did was call a girl robust?

to add on to the not so subtle allusion, poltical correctness is present in every game. i guarantee that if team comms were listened to on stream people would be furious. the difference between grassroots games and overwatch is that overwatch has money on the line. community admonishment is not the same as corporate admonishment, but still affects to be a censure

#101 Competitive Matchmaking Discussion in TF2 General Discussion
alamo2914I also don't think that aimbots will be a big problem in the future, since competitive costs money (even if just 0.5$) and requires you to have a phone.

do you think people actually get vac banned with paid cheats more than once a year lol
also you can just use a temporary phone number to get authentication then not even require a phone to login
cheating will always be a problem in mm unfortunately

#12 Competitive Matchmaking Discussion in TF2 General Discussion

ive gotten to play eight games, six were on turbine with 1+ sniper aimbotter on the other team, 1 was on an australian server where only 2 people were from australia and they were vaccinator + aimbot sniper, one i had two friendly heavies on my team that refused to cap or attack people.

also five games where multiple people didnt join so it ended prematurely.

#60 Ster talks about the TF2 casual and comp community in TF2 General Discussion

tf2 pub community is really bad, it has a disproportionately high amount of autistic people, furries, other social rejects etc.
a large part of this is that tf2 is seen as a gateway game that you play when you first get a pc.
almost every pub i see people votekicking people especially anyone with even an iota of ability to play the game. honestly i think lol and dota has a better public community from experience, id rather get shittalked by peruvians than hear a 30 year old texan man scream over the mic about being a friendly heavy

the comp community is full of wonderful people who put a lot of their own time and money into helping the scene, and its a disservice to them that the public community is so wretched.

#3 Is the global whitelist going to be updated soon? in TF2 General Discussion

https://whitelist.tf/esea_6v6_s27

none of the currently banned weapons have any remote reason to be unbanned besides potentially the dragon's fury if the new hitbox is tested and found to be acceptable; even that i doubt considering the stupid firing speed after hitting two shots.
