Also i can bet every instance (at least more than other sexual abuses) is making the news because conservative outlets are desperate for examples of this sort of thing - as demonstrated by the outright lying title of the article you posted. dollarlayer...With the current laws in some states, they can walk in (identify as a women even if thats just a lie) check out some women showering and walk out without any prosecution.

2) Almost all of these cases involved cameras and recording. In the 6 or so cases of opposite sex entering the other bathrooms if they were not recording video, there would be nothing to prosecute these creeps with.
3) In states that allow transgender bathroom access there is nothing written in the law that would prevent creeps (such as a man) from going in and checking out women showering.
This is my favorite thing, when a person says the same point in two different ways to pretend they have a stronger argument.(protip: quality > quantity) You are just saying that it would be impossible to prosecute because you can't tell if they were really trans or if they were just males pretending to be trans - luckily we've already covered this!
dollarlayer from long agoMy point is there needs to be a clear definition of what is considered acceptable so those breaking the law can be prosecuted and defining that law, when transgender people are put into the equation can be quite difficult.
It would pretty easy actually to differentiate between an actual trans person and someone who just decided to pretend to be trans one day, yes. Courts debate intent all the time, and being trans is a choice that affects your entire life in evident ways that you would be able to show in court - me again
