#12 Valve should use meet the series for tutorials in TF2 General Discussion
Waldono

Why would you not want proper tutorials of TF2? The game is obviously to complex for newer players...

Blame the character Limit...
It took me like 3 seconds to come up with a concise non clickbait title for a fucking thread I didn't even make.

I think you gotta double check your life.

Also, I recommend never ever doing that shit again.

Thank you, your help is appreciated.

#1 [Poll] Crowdfunding a Valve tourney? in The Dumpster

Assuming it behaves exactly like Dota, wherein 75% of the money goes to Valve and 25% to the prize pool, how much money would you contribute to the prize pool?

#6 Discussion - Attack/Defend gamemode in 6's in TF2 General Discussion

I think there's a lot of untapped potential there, and it should be experimented with more.

#126 What is the (possible) future for high level tf2? in TF2 General Discussion
VipaSpaceCadetsco_who would have thought that esea might die quicker than hl
HL has been the thorn in the side of 6's since the beginning. That idiotic game mode has attracted way more new players because it has such a low learning curve as compared to 6's.

6's is clearly the better game mode for top level play, its not even debatable. HL is really just a joke but they eat up the new player base because playing in a pub is like playing HL.

Imagine the 6's community with the HL player base folded into it. We would have several thriving divisions.

Im not about to start some kind of race war here but I resent that opinion. You have two types of players in the hl community, people like me who have fun in both formats and will play both or pyro mains etc who would never have played esea in the first place (or contributed anything useful to it if they did). Its sad to me that both formats are gonna die pointing fingers at each other because really its valve thats fucked us all over regardless of what we like to play. To be honest If you wanna point fingers at ugc it should be at the fact that they haven't killed their 6s divisions. I've been trying to tell the UGC administration to kill it forever, its the real player leech because it allows a bunch of teams to stagnate in a meaningless league instead of filling up open.

I basically agree with this exactly

I don't think that's particularly true. There are actually, like 6 ways to hold borneo first alone.
shut up

What up, spu

asianb0yhI really hope this doesn't mean we will have to play sigafoo's 7v7 league in the future.

Competitive TF2 is a straving hobo dying on the streets. We don't refuse a hamburger because we want a steak. We take what we can get. Even if its a weird game mode with some gimmicky whitelist.

yerbi can certainly tell you the tf2 team cares about tf2(...)

I find that VARY difficult to believe at this point. Sure we get a couple of guys catching TF2 Devs on their brakes twice a year and everything seems to be fine and dandy, but if we look at the rest of the time there's mountains of anecdotal evidence to suggest that they don't care AT ALL. Some low-hanging fruit examples would be the in-game Ranked system. Dota got its at the end of 2013. TF2? Middle of 2016, and before that it was in Beta for 5 months. People wrote literal ESSAYS on things wrong with the Beta and gave mounds of feedback on what the problems where, why they were problems, and how to improve it. And yet, nothing was done. If the Devs DID care don't you think they would have taken even a little bit of that information into consideration? Lack of blogposts is another good example. How long does it take you to write a response on this thread? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? It can't possibly be more then 15, right? Blog posts aren't much longer then that. It wouldn't take much of a Dev to write up a few words on what their up to and why. And yet they don't. Lastly, i servery doubt that ANY of the Devs have ever played a competitive match in their lives. Not a lobby, or a PUG or even watched a steam of a match. If the truly cared the would log on an alt. Load up Center of something, and do some real field work to see what that environment is like. Heck. They could organize some kind of mini event like "Devs vs Pros" or something. But no. Their busy bloating the game with more ugly cosmetics that people continue to buy for some reason. But you know what... Maybe their right. There's NO way a colorful, class based, objective centric, first person shooter, with surprisingly deep lore, a funny attitude and a strong emphasis on movement could EVER succeed as an E-Sport... That's just crazy talk...
