#12 Need a Gaming Mouse in Hardware
Tang_UnrandomirishladTang_UnWhat's wrong with the G500 ? I've used one for months and have no complaints. It has positive acceleration that can't be turned off, so in purirst terms it doesn't have a "perfect" sensor.
Huh. Never noticed any accel. What's 'positive' accel anyway?

The G500's sensor is not placed in the center, so it gets positive accel.

Look at this for example

http://static.trustedreviews.com/94/145422/4037/13095-img4767s.jpg

Usually, the mouse sensor would be placed in the center. This causes the mouse to move faster/slower in a vertical direction.

#6 Building a new computer, looking for suggestions in Hardware
obsidiianI've combined parts of both of the suggested builds and made a new one. I kinda caved in and decided I could spend a little more time on better parts that could be used again down the road. What do you guys think of the latest one?

PS - link to build is in original post

You have around $100 left to spend since you already have Windows 8 in there, so get a better graphics card like the GTX 760.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130933

If it's still not on sale by the time you're going to buy your parts, just get the ASUS or Gigabyte version.

ASUS - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121775
Gigabyte - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125466

Also, try to get memory with 1.5v. The memory you chose has 1.65v.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233526

Might as well get something that looks good with your motherboard since you have the extra money.

Your build should look something like this:

#10 PC build for a friend in Hardware

Instead of an MSI graphics card, I would get the EVGA version. They have pretty identical temperatures and noise levels, but EVGA has better customer support.

#42 Building new computer need elite techy help! in TF2 General Discussion
Setsul#32 120Hz monitor without >= 120 fps is pointless, an ok-ish GPU won't do that in newer games. And 2*250$ for two 7870s wasn't cheaper than 400$ (one 770) the last time i checked.

#33 4670K typo or 3570K memories? :D

#34 Streaming shouldn't be a problem for the 4670K at least not in TF2. Streaming performance might be better for some games on the FX-8350, but you'd sacrifice performance in some games (e.g. TF2) for better performance while streaming or in some other games. I don't think that an i7 is possible with that budget and you'd only see benefits from it IF you start streaming.
Btw lightboost works for AMD too http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/

#35 5400rpm 2.5" HDD, i stopped reading.

#36 "i5 4*3.2GHz" and "asus motherboard" are probably the most specific details i've ever heard.

#37 Yes, this is the internet, everything is an argument.

#38 No, Yes and No

That HDD was in my previous list, so I just kept it there. Besides, you don't really need 7200 rpm if you're just storing data in that hard drive since all the games will be going in the SSD.

I don't want to get in the mass argument, so I'll just put my recommended build here

You can easily pirate Windows 7/Windows 8 and put it on a USB.

Also, check if your PSU has more than 42 amps on the 12v rail. It should say something about that on the side of your PSU. If you don't have 42 amps, your GPU may have some problems.

#21 Opinions on ~ $1300 PC Build in Hardware
d0m3rEmmaWatsond0m3rdont really see the point in overclocking a new processorStop
im sorry i dont see the point in shortening the life of a processor you just got

What's the point of limiting the potential of a CPU? Even if it does shorten the life of the CPU, it'll run fast in the long run.
