It's so hot around here lately (like 100F +) that people just get out of their houses and group near pokestop clusters all night long, there's a park near my house that yesterday had like 20-30 people until like 4am. I've never seen such a crazy phenomenon, but I love me some pokemon so I can't complaint.

just got home at 4am, streets were absolutely crazy, amazing atmosphere, the victory was the cherry on top, specially with eder's goal. Couldn't ever ask for more. Portugal is champion fair and square we didnt lose a single match, and won when it really mattered including here against the host nation which had an amazing team btw.

Yeah, that still doesn't matter much when u got cops being taken down by snipers in broad daylight or mad men gunning down places full of people. It's something I would expect from a hollywood movie, or maybe some shitty ass 3rd world country, not the "birthplace of freedom".

USA is looking more and more like a goddamn warzone. I know this might seem crazy, but maybe with less guns and consequently less trigger happy cops, there would be less dead people?

I guess now with the casual mode quickplay they're going full on quickplay and not going back.

Really hate this trend of quickplay for fps's, sure it's more user friendly and it puts you in a "expected" balanced game quickly, but all the sense of community and social aspect of gaming is removed from it. You can't become a regular in a community server, make friends and just enjoy it with the people there regularly just like you're going to your favorite bar or cafe for a chat.

All these dumbed down features in FPSs are killing me, I mean how casual do you have to be to not be able to use a server browser...

More than anything I think it was quickplay that killed tf2, or at least a big part of the casual community. I remember portugal having 2 regular full 32 slots servers at all times, well even after 1am, full of regulars all the time, and it's where I made a lot of friends and started playing competitive. There's no portuguese servers now, I haven't seen one with people for 6 months+. Nowadays I dont even pub anymore because I don't feel any link to the game community.

I guess whatever works best and keeps the game alive, but I can't help but feel sad for all the fun times I had on community servers.

level progression system, "Casual mode quickplay", I guess they're going the CS route, hopefully they invest in the scene, at least through esport keys or something to kickstart it.

Hoping for the promised updates to the ingame recording tool as well as some performance updates hopefully
