KhanTF2I really like it, numbers stand out very well. However, I think the killfeed would look a bit better if you'd add a bit of transparency to the boxes

How's this look?

spammydl link pls?

Pretty literally everything you don't see there is still the default hud or broken entirely. It's not ready for any dl links, sorry mate.

Is -autoconfig in the launch options?

#4 Windows will not let me transfer files in Off Topic

Fonts are installed and linked or some BS like that. Pretty sure all you need to do is uninstall the fonts involved, that worked for me when I did it.

fluffDoes any one know how to make the hud player health bonus/dying image a different shape/colour/fixed size and not flash like in ya/noto hud?

Example:

You can change the xpos and ypos of the bonus/damaged cross so that it's offscreen and then make just a regular rectangle behind the health (or where-ever), and then animate it through HudHealthDyingPulse and HudHealthBonusPulse to your liking.

fooqpsorry i'm a bit dumb, can someone explain me: is "+mat_showlowresimage 1"-operation legit? because sv_cheats 1 scared me

Yes. It's as legit as putting tf2 into windowed mode or making it skip the valve logo screen.

AmirBonkJarateKingUltrazsnipAlso worth noting that you can change the animations entirely.http://i.imgur.com/3LVo0Z4.png
These are ACT_MP_SWIM_PRIMARY and ACT_MP_RUN_PRIMARY, and I know ACT_MP_CROUCH_PRIMARY and ACT_MP_CROUCHWALK_PRIMARY also work, but unfortunately I don't know the names of any other animations.
Looks nice. Any chance you could tell me what i should write and where(which file) to write it to get either the running/swimming animation? Sorry for dumb question, I'm quite a newbie at these stuff.

You should just need to go into hudplayerclass.res, CTRL+F for "PRIMARY", and then change all the STAND's you see around there to be either RUN or SWIM (or whatever other animation you want really).

PhraktureI want to change the value or percentage at which my hud's low ammo pulse animation gets triggered (assuming that's possible). I'm using seven hud. This is the text from hudanimations_tf.txt. pls help im a noob

AFAIK not possible, at least not by editing hudanimations_tf.txt.

hudammoweapons.res doesn't have the same HealthDeathWarning value as hudplayerhealth.res does so I doubt it'd be possible, though you could try throwing that in there somewhere.

#32 Uber Tracking Hud Mod in Customization
hanbroloLittle off topic but couldn't you then use the menuclose animation to toggle a hud crosshair on/off as well?

You certainly could. Any animation can be hooked into menuopen or menuclose (or any other animation event for that matter), and you can animate anything that has any xpos, ypos, tall, wide, alpha, fgcolor, or bgcolor attribute (pretty much everything one way or another).

All it'd take is something like:

Animate HUDXhairToggle alpha "255" Linear 0.0 0.0

That said you'd need to hook into a new animation (most likely the other menuopen/close animation) to undo it.

La_maisonSo, what would be the best way to toggle this with the main menu? That way you could probably let people bring this up/hide it again, just by pressing a button and without making a config trip to autoexec the first time they use the hud.

Have a button's command be "engine exec ubertimerconfig"
You'd either need to work with execing log files or have a second button to undo it though.

I guess it'd be a good time to ask if any more notable people could ask Valve to make the command testhudanim not an sv_cheats 1 command.

I made this thing almost exactly the same a few months ago (along with other animations) but didn't really do anything with it because it tended to break a lot.

Tresh1 no
2 idk
3 no

2 is a yes.

If someone gets 3 working, odds are it'd be overriding the source files, which you might be able to snag from the SDK or HL2 or something, which I never managed but at the same time never looked too deeply into. Probably won't work but eh.

#2027 Show your HUD modifications! in Customization

With some testing it doesn't seem possible. The commands motd_next, motd_prev, and motd_viewurl seem to mess up a bit when they're on buttons that aren't already made for the newsboxes, and more importantly they don't like multiple commands on one button (and will break and not work).

You could still make a very simple newsbox and then have the image be set to show you how much next/prev buttons you need to hit, sort of like
