#6 glaistig LFT low open pocket in Recruitment (looking for team)

Mature player with solid soldier/demo dm. What's the availability like, though? Still dedicated to HL?

#4 LFP Demoman Mid Open in Recruitment (looking for players)

I coached these guys last season and they impressed me with their dedication and how much they improved. With pyritefish not being able to play next season they've shuffled a couple of roles around and now need a demoguy. They are the nicest people and good! Please play with them!

#39 MyAnimeList BLACK lfp IM in Recruitment (looking for players)

I don't particularly like half the people on this team (aZn is my homie though) AND I detest aliasing but still this is some major bullshit. This dude has consistently been Happycool for years or at least it feels like years. This is a dumb technicality to stick to in order to not follow through on your promise. You're acting like the worst insurance company that will try to save every penny by shorting their clients.

#1 Salute to Newbie Teams! in TF2 General Discussion

Thanks to big efforts from admin Jarrett and many others this season saw about 10 newbie teams playing ESEA Open. That's a lot! I don't know the fate of all of these teams but I wanted to give all the newbies a big shoutout for showing up and playing hard, especially to the teams that made it through the entire season. That is no small feat for lower level teams and it's something you guys should feel good about. You guys are true competitors for going hard and standing back up after getting smashed a lot, as expected. Extra-adoring shoutout to the two teams that I worked with this season, "HalfLifeMod NoLifeSquad" and "Newbie Invasion". Both teams had a whole host of problems come up during their season and roster shuffles but they kept it together and made it through. You guys are all awesome and it was a joy to see you improve noticeably week after week. I hope to see many names back at it next season as you guys continue to explore 6v6 tf2!

#26 RGB appreciation thread in TF2 General Discussion

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvKgN3ZKkRM

Not the finest LAN footage I've gotten compared to my previous GXL 2014 and 15 videos but that's because they kept the lights off ALL the time at this event :( Oh well at least you can enjoy some shots of the highly photogenic Murkscribe. It was a blast meeting tons of the people who I've known online for so long. Thanks everyone!

#19 boxcar lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

Dedicated player and much improved. Not long ago was very, very bad and now seems to be doing a lot better--If not outstanding then at least decent. High open might be a bit of stretch though I'm not sure. A good attitude means a lot and boxcar's got that. Good luck!

#40 The Ultimate Ultiduo Tournament in TF2 General Discussion

This is my last post here as I've derailed the thread enough. I have no idea wtf you are talking about and disagree with literally everything you say.

How is there much lower damage on ramps? You mean playing the terrain as cover from the low ground? But you can only do that for a second while they advance on you and then you're on low ground. Do you mean when you stand on the ramp and then jump forward to surf off? You can do that anywhere. Both teams are playing around the same geometry and the higher skilled players will always win with better rockets, whether it's directs or splash. You realize rb7 and baloo (and most of the other maps) have ramps in them too, right? Granted they're less centrally located.

On the cliff map I have both played and watched other players play ranging from average to very good. I don't think any of them have been accused of cheating by prem players though so maybe they're not as good as you. It makes no sense that you think it's so easy to knock people off. That is empirically 100% false. It almost seems to me like you haven't played the map. Then again you seem like a big ultiduo enthusiast and a huge chunk of your profile is chatlogs bragging about how good you are so I feel like you would have played it maybe? I'm absolutely trash at soldier and I guarantee you would not be throwing me off that cliff. You'd be beating me in a flat ground ammomod exchange and with airshots (which wouldn't throw me off 99% of the time).

Finally you seem to value "feedback" comments in the thread a lot and imply that they relate to the map being "skill rewarding". What literally would you like the comments to say? "Wow that was fun AND skill rewarding!". That, or what? Feel free to explain since I do not see the correlation. It's perfectly fine if the maps are not to your taste but you're holding them to some kind of standard that you have of what is "skill rewarding". What does that mean exactly? These two maps play like any other where the team that is more skilled will place better rockets and hit more bows. If some chumps are being pushed off the cliff repeatedly then they are significantly outskilled and deserve it.

#37 The Ultimate Ultiduo Tournament in TF2 General Discussion

First and most importantly all the stairs have invisible ramps covering them like on all the comp maps that you're used to playing for years. No aids splash blocking to be had there dude... so that was very sad to read.

Secondly if you feel that a pit is morally unacceptable for an ultiduo game then that's just how you feel and I won't be able to change your mind. Let me say though that the pit plays a very small role in the deaths and only once or twice per game, if at all, do people fall off. It just acts to funnel the ammomod-type action down the center and adds some risk and excitement to the surfs. It's extremely hard to purposely throw people off the bridge, or accidentally for that matter. Most of the time when you see people getting thrown off it's when a much stronger soldier plays a much weaker one (like this). Call it cheap or unfair if you want but no one is getting 'lucky'. The better skilled players will always win the game in the end.

And finally I have no idea what you mean by your last sentence. Criticism is mostly negative but when people generally tend to like their experience and say "was fun" what more would you like them to say?
