Hey mastercoms, does mat_max_worldmesh_vertices 1024 give more fps than mat_max_worldmesh_vertices 65536?
damiengreyayo yttrium can you make me one with hide primaries but no inspects ? i love my secondaries and inspects. :)

or as someone mentioned https://comfig.app/hits/hs/1/
or just make your own hitsounds, there are plenty tutorials for that.
cluXWhen i join any server in tf2, even private server, i usually get 400-600 fps in private , but in community i get 200-300, as soon as i start moving my mouse, it drops to 30-60 fps. is there any way to fix this issue? Is it my pc or my tf2
my specs are :
Geforce GTX 1070
16 GB Ram
216 SSD
2TB HDD
H510M H motherboard
Generally you will have lower fps on community servers beacuse of them having plugins, more players + they aren't directly hosted on your computer.
(or if they have plugins that allow people to wear any hat/unusual they want, that can provide some lag as well beacuse there will be a lot more models and particles rendered).
But I think that the issue with fps dropping that much when moving your mouse could be a problem on your side.
Btw have you experienced this fps issue on every server or just some of them?
also do you have motion blur enabled? it might be causing the issue since tf2's motion blur is an effect applied when you move your mouse.
Is the regedit method still working? I tried it and it didn't work.

You can also re-alias them to use your own network settings
How does this work? I put net_spy in /cfg/overrides/spy.cfg and then what? net_spy cl_interp x?
I suppose what I need to know is how to re-alias these setttings - what exactly to write and where, or the mastercomfig values for the default snapshot_buffer i.e. what interp value does snapshot_buffer_low (projectile) have? It doesn't say. snapshot_buffer=safe (hitscan) has 30ms of interp so that would be cl_interp 0.030. I could just use custom snapshot buffer and then put these default values in every class config except spy, but if someone could tell me how to re-alias the settings in the module that would be really nice and less cluttered.
if you want to realias something do
alias [the command] "[your settings]"
so if you want to realias net_spy for example you do
alias net_spy "your settings"
MrTKHey using my graph cfg since around 2016 but my fps are mutch worse than in the past.
I used to have 300-400 fps.
Now I am 100-200 which is rlly bad since I picked up a 240hz monitor.
Gpu rx Vega 64
Cpu AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
I know that this isn't the latest hardware but I don't get why the game runs this bad.
Maybe some of you have similar hardware and share some of your experiences.
Thanks in advance.
If you have radeon software, go to [Performance - Tuning] and check if ur min gpu clock isn't set to it's bare minimum, if it is than set it to either 100mhz or 200mhz lower than your max clock speeds [like that]
That should give a slight fps boost (about 50+ increase for me [went from 800mhz to 1531mhz])
also back in 2016 there was a lot less hats, unusuals, less weapons etc.
but as someone mentioned, you might wanna try mastercomfig.
mordequeenJ_4rb1have you tried setting cl_smooth to 1?I've tried that, didn't really notice any difference. Do you know what the 'rate' setting does and what I should set it to?
rate controls how much bytes per second can the host recieve, I think that 196608 is the best value but I don't really know much about networking.
These are (some) of my net settings and they work perfectly fine for me
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 1
cl_smoothtime 0.075
cl_updaterate 66
rate 196608
