crosshairs dont work on explosive weapons. I assume this is because I have to remove the sapper effect explosions script like it says but I can't find it anywhere in my custom files to remove it.

edit: fixed

#62 [S33] Class Restrictions in TF2 General Discussion

not saying it's necessarily going to be an issue but is there a particular reason why Kars (Div 1 2nd place S32) cannot play medic in mid but CeeJaey (Div 1 2nd place S31) can?

#3 TFNew needs 6v6 coaches in Projects
KevinIsPwnWhat region is this for?

I knew there was going to be something I'd forget. It's EU only. I'll edit my post, thanks.

#1 TFNew needs 6v6 coaches in Projects

Hey all,

(TL;DR further down in bold)
For those of you who are unaware, TFNew is a small EU org that hosts 6s newbie cups. What makes TFNew different from other newbie leagues is that the staff team does team management for the players. Players don't have to worry about finding a team, they simply sign up individually and are drafted into teams by us. They have their own text and voice channels in the Discord and are assigned team coaches. Maptalks with coaches as well as scrims with other teams (leading up to the cup itself) are all organised by us to relieve pressure from newbie leaders.

Right now however we are very much in need of coaches for our next cup.

This will be the fifth TFNew cup so far, the last of which had 15 teams.

Before the cup itself, there are 2 weeks (-ish, the cup itself takes place on the last 3-4 days of the second week) of maptalks and scrims (usually about 2-3 maptalks + 2-3 scrims per week), the dates of which are all known to the participants before they sign up to avoid players not showing up to these sessions.

The final confirmed dates have not yet been announced, but the event will likely take place from the 1st to the 14th of July (with the cup itself taking place from the 11th/12th to the 14th). As previously stated, these dates are not yet 100% confirmed and it is possible the cup may be pushed back by a week.

Apologies for lacking some info and for how unprecise the listed info is, we are still trying to figure out changes we would like to implement since our last cup. The exact dates will be confirmed when the cup is officially announced. This post is mainly for gathering basic interest in coaching.
If you would like to apply to be a coach, feel free to do so through our Discord server (where the whole event is ran) - there is a channel titled #role-applications.

TL;DR: a newbie cup is looking for coaches to mentor teams in our next cup in a few weeks time. Join the Discord and apply in #role-applications if interested.
Discord server: https://discord.gg/8hhJMgz (discord.io/TFNew also works)

Also feel free to contact me on Discord (JWB#6651) if you have any questions or post them in this thread.

While there is no set experience requirement to be a coach, we will likely decline most applications from players with experience lower than Mid unless we know the individual in question and can vouch for their coaching abilities.

Thanks,
-JWB

P.S. I'm not too used to making posts like this, so any criticism on the formatting of this post is of course welcome and appreciated.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the cup is open to EU players only. Non-EU coaches are welcome if it's reasonable to expect them to be available at EU times to give mentoring sessions but I do not expect any to wish to take part.

#7 G Pro Wireless lift-off distance issue in Hardware

thanks everyone who posted. I've found it's become less of an issue now that I've got more used to the mouse but I might still try it with the 10g weight. thanks again for all the advice <3

#3 G Pro Wireless lift-off distance issue in Hardware
pyxi got the g pro wireless after using a g403 with a 10g weight, i didn't find that i was lifting it any more than usual despite the weight. I think you might've just gotten a shitty sensor. mine has no issues whatsoever, but yeah you can't change the l.o.d., but i would just see if you can get it replaced.

so do you play with the g pro wireless with the 10 gram weight or did I misinterpret something? is it worth trying that?

#1 G Pro Wireless lift-off distance issue in Hardware

So I recently got the G Pro Wireless and I find if I try to do any kind of wide mouse movement (flick shot, rocket jump where I jump off a wall and then move the mouse so I am looking forward rather than still looking at the wall, etc) I lose all mouse control. I also often find in general the mouse feels jittery but I think that is due to me lifting up the mouse when playing (even a very slight amount, the slightest jerk of the mouse can cause me to lose control).

Possible reasons for this:
-Lift-off distance being very low (I can't seem to find a way to change it on either the Logitech G software or the GHub software)
-Low weight of mouse causing me to lift it up more than I usually would (less likely IMO)

I know a new mouse will of course take time to get used to but I feel I am quite used to the mouse shape/weight/feel I just often lose control entirely from the slightest jerk of the mouse.

If it's not clear already, I'm not particularly knowledgable when it comes to mice and all that shit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
