#53 10k hours to mastery in Off Topic
ErenJayIf you think about it, if you can persist in doing something for a whole 10k hours you probably really enjoy it, and people usually enjoy being good at stuff, so anyone that manages to do something for 10000 hours was probably naturally talented at it anyway.
Like imagine how hard it would be to force yourself to practice something you literally had no natural ability in for 10000 hours.

natural talent is just an excuse someone uses when theyre not getting better or refuse putting more time in to get better

x player has 2000 hours and i have 7000 and theyre this much better then me, must be natural talent
i have x amount of hours and im still not good, i must not have natural talent -> better off not trying

to me this game is all about confidence. ive played with players with tons of hours (myself, reimu, dance# notably) and i know they posses the ability and work ethic to be much better, but hold themselves back with doubt and a lack of confidence.

ive also played with players that are so cocky that they dont even entertain the fact they arent the best (muma, goldfish, alec) and those players are the ones that are invite now, with much less hours than me as well.

ie youre not going to be talented in something unless u have the confidence that you will be. just a personality thing

Still feels very highlander. By that I mean very awkward and cringy. Get more people that aren't weird? Iunno

Flatline slin deer and I guess even deathy aren't bad but all the others just give me uncomfortable chills.

#46 Suggestions for high end headphones/sound cards? in Hardware

just got the hd650's in the mail. Just without dac/amp i notice they are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than what i was using. i was kinda disappointed seeing the actual headphones because it looked uncomfortable but it's very very comfortable somehow.

i do hear a good amount of crackles though in lows and highs, but thankfully i got an o2+odac for $255 canadian thanks to x3 linking the canuckaudiomart ad. in comparison a new o2+odac would cost $300 usd total which is over $380 cad. so ill write something when i get that.

i do have access to a robotics lab and have experience building circuits and such so i still may do a bottlehead crack project in the future when i can pour that kind of money into it.

so to sum up, $600 total (taxes) for the sennheiser hd650's, and another $255 for o2+odac. Over budget but w/e i can afford it.
$850 CAD total = $660 USD

#33 Amazon Prime Day - July 15th in Hardware

i like how i bought a couple things 2 days before amazon prime just because I knew they wouldn't go down at all, which they didnt.

pretty mediocre sale. only thing i see worth getting (in canada) is a samsung SSD that are around $90 off
