B's lost Rask to injury / free agency and decided to double down on having no goalies by trading Halak to the Canucks. Now we need to manage with Dota-boy and a bona fide AHL move-up chucked immediately to the wolves. While I want this lineup to work out, you can only sign so many Sabres before your team becomes the Sabres. Here's hoping everyone pans out / Krejci comes home.

However, there's a solid 40% chance that I'll be hired in the near future to beat report for the Kraken, so I may be (forcibly) changing teams in the near future. They got a handful of steals from the expansion draft, and Hakstol seems like a coach capable of bringing them to the first, maybe even the second round. It's a shame that the expectation for an expansion team is to immediately sign Stanley now. At the very least, if they dethrone the most obnoxious team in the league and lord over the Pacific for a while, I'll be more than impressed.

I was playing TF2, noticed the update, closed the game, installed the patch and rebooted. Upon reopening the game, I was greeted by a Discord 404 (???) overlay that covered the rest of the game and made it unplayable. Forcing Discord closed through task manager and rebooting both programs seems to fix whatever issue I was having.

I'm guessing I just found a new and interesting Dick Sword conflict with TF, I'd like to know if anyone else can replicate these problems, but I really don't know where the two interact.

While we're on the topic, do you guys remember when open threads would get 30+ pages of people shooting the shit? GGs, in-jokes, speculations, trash talk - it was all there, and it made for a fun time.

Now we get lucky if a division thread reaches 5 pages of teams complaining into the void that their highly problematic demomen got banned for saying a no-no word for the 3rd 4th 5th time. What happened? Did these conversations all go elsewhere, or do they just not happen anymore?

God bless the people that grind out elaborate power rankings between the divisions, they feel like the one remaining holdout of the older threads.

I had high hopes for this Pats season until both starting tackles, our best two defensive backs, and even our fucking kicker turned up hurt. It's week 4.

This is why the league shouldn't skimp on the fourth preseason game. Did they learn nothing from how bad injuries got early last season after they skipped them entirely? Players absolutely need time to play up to full speed, which seems much more valuable to a team's (and by extension, it's ownership's) success than collecting ticket sales to a 17th game that likely won't meaningfully change anything about the playoff race.

Just give us back 8-8 teams, man. Truly middling teams deserve a perfect .500.
