I don't understand why you spent time adding secret rooms with a frog as intel that can be captured in the enemy team's basketball hoop rather than fixing actual problems with the map. Yes there is actually a random basketball net on both sides of the map now.
Edit: i'll post pics later

That trap spot should really be put back imo. It is/was one of if not the only forward trap spot for the cliff and you had to expose yourself in order to time your det. I have also never seen or heard of anyone being affected by that fence or blocking splash damage. Your suggestion bubblebobbler to add bulletblock to the boards doesn't help with the issue pamphlet brought up. It's not a sticky trap if you have to place them on the outer area of the fence and have them visible for everyone, if anything i'd rather the fence gone then have bullet block on it.
Kanecothe rock is a very irregular prop where u sometimes will be caught sliding while the fence works as kinda of a step very useful for soldiers. And even more so for scouts which can toy around it a lot and avoid splash damage. Overall I think it's fine the way it is. Sure it's a bit abused in HL but I dont see how you could change it without impacting some of 6s core classes that make good use of it.
That's the first logical counter-argument, but is not a game changing feature for scouts/soldiers compared to how it helps snipers. The spot is used in 6s as well but you don't see it abused as often because most teams don't run a sniper enough to realize it's strength.
Ond_kajaHolding on point left side a solider or scout rushes you, and you can use the fence either as cover or something you can jump on to avoid splash/surf or whatever.
The rock provides the exact same cover that the fence does...
Your other argument that its something to jump on to avoid splash damage is pretty weak considering how much easier it is to just splash the medic by hitting the rock right next to the fence than it is to hit the medic on the hill/ramp behind it.
Ond_kajatetrominoThis might be me being bad
probably
can you please explain how this fence has absolutely any impact on a 'scout or soldier rushing'?

It literally just adds an extra foot of size/collision to the rock and doesn't help someone dodging whatsoever.
EmilioEstevezIf you lower the fence behind the rock then it'll be harder to snipe the heavy and wont really hurt the sniper either as he only looks in one direction at a time anyway. If anything you might just buff it as a sniper spot as counter sniping will be harder (since he won't be visible from as many angles).
this is pretty close to the case atm, lowering or removing part of the fence will most likely just make it even stronger. I'd like to hear an actual argument for why it should stay.
Ond_kajaThe fence adds a lot to the area, can use that to dodge rushing scouts and soldiers as medic. The sniper sightline from there is good but not as good as people make it out to be. Let the fence stay.
I don't think you're talking about the same fence... the small white fence behind the rock does not in anyway affect rushing scouts or soldiers. The only affect it has on the game is makes sniper stronger.
Removing the white fence (http://puu.sh/hmSJA/d76b43a001.jpg) behind both of the big middle rocks would go a long way in making sniper more balanced on the map. Probably not used as much in 6s as in highlander, but in hl most snipers are able to sit on the white fence looking over the rock, have great cover, quickly change sight lines to see every entrance to point and be protected by his whole team. The majority if not all of the other sight lines on viaduct force the sniper to be either more isolated and/or more visible. The fence serves no other purpose but making sniper even stronger and would be great to have it gone.
Kev is a really great guy and an amazing player. He has been one of the best scouts in IM for the past 3+ seasons. Really deserves an invite team.
Would be great if you guys could extend the deadline, there will be a lot more teams formed and a lot more interest come the registration deadline.
bump thanks for the tryouts so far
Lunacide is a great guy and player. I don't know much about his demo other than he loves the loose cannon but with his experience and attitude i'm sure he'll improve very quickly.
