I'm certainly not an organizer but as soon as I learned about this last night, I made sure to post the details in the TOTH slack - literally before uberchain even knew. Hopefully we can get out in front of this and I'm sure we'll try whatever we can. It's hard to argue with such a large charity event, but I'm sure there will be some official verdict soon enough. We also have a great and talented team, so if there needs to be a workaround or alternative, I'm sure we can brainstorm something. TF2, though in decline, has certainly always been a key piece of the event.

That first big GXL where we had Corsair sponsorship and shit was pretty hype (2014 I guess?). For most of us NA guys, minus the Invite players who used to go to LAN in Texas, this was the first big tournament event with a big sponsored cast, etc. (ESEA LAN didn't even have in-person casting teams as most will recall, it was cast online) It was a really exciting time in the game, and there was this big feeling that big shit was just around the corner. We were really starting to feel like an eSport.

Most of the pillars of the community from that time attended and were part of it, a couple big pro CS teams were also there competing, which many were into, and again, other than ESEA LAN/iSeries, it was basically the biggest thing we had up to that point. For many it was our first time there in PA and yeah, honestly glory days. Kudos to Fragile and everyone else who helped it happen.

No but he does have a legion of brainless fans who support him no matter what stupid shit he says or does. Sorry if I wasn't clear! That was the basis of my comparison.

Hey this just occurred to me.. seeing Harb post in the other thread, and hearing all the cool ideas about bringing back old casters and shit for this last season, I just wanted to say that hopefully the league will go lax on rules/restrictions, i.e. if a team wanted to bring back a bunch of old players every week, hopefully there wouldn't be a limit on roster moves etc? I'm not sure if that would even come up, I admit I don't play in the league and you guys would know better than me. Just saying hopefully they can bend the rules a bit more than usual if it's needed or appropriate, in recognition of this being the send-off season.
