I'm likely severely uneducated on this so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but most hitscans (scout/heavy/shotgunners/etc) normally just aim for the upper chest area which realisticially isn't that affected by slightly mis-animated hitboxes, so it would seem like the most notable impact of this would just be more consistent headshots (less of that bloody face bug) and at best a dpm change of a few single digits due to less botched damage spread

It still bugs me when people have their opinions automatically disregarded over the incorrect notion that they've got an outdated opinion or aren't qualified to speak of things

For instance many people still think dane is a HL elitist even though he's outright said he regrets that mindset and actually finds 6s interesting and supports it, likewise I've often had people accuse me of being 'pubber trash' completely unaware of the seasons i've put into both 6s and highlander. People will often label based only on what they've seen rather than what they've researched. Not saying anybody here is doing that, but with how often people have moaned over who's visiting valve it's a legitimate concern that those people moaning aren't actually aware of what they're complaining about.

Dane told me a bit before his visit that when he went he fully intended to press beyond surface answers and avoid coming back overly optimistic like many other visitors have been, and instead tried to take everything they say as objectively as possible. So when he says he had a good impression of the visit, I trust him.

That said, Valve's still very good at having impressive ideologies that lead to unimpressive initial results. As he said himself it seems like the tfteam doesn't have the number strength to carry the game the way they want to. That of course doesn't excuse the obviously bad decisions we've seen them do on repeat. The only part of this i'm contented by is that they've seemed to own up to the fact that they've mishandled previous updates and split the community, and they're set on changing that. Up until now we didn't even have hints of such a thing. If not for that i'd immediately dismiss everything they say as further politician talk.

On one hand, with jill confirming that mm was rushed out and driller confirming that their intention is to remedy that, that makes for good news.

On the other hand, how many fucking times have we been lead to believe things are different now? It's been a year since mm and we're only now at the point where they say "i think we'll consider adding those things now.."

anybody can visit valve... I'm fairly certain you can call the office and say "hi i'm in town, can I get a facility tour?" and someone will more than likely okay it. Dane wasn't invited. Complaining about your disinterest in content creators is an irrelevant point. Even then, it's not like people who visit valve try to shovel suggestions down their throat. And even if they did i'd be hopeful they would ignore it.

If you know b4nny then you know he tweets to burn off steam, not to bait in responses. The tweet was in direct response to a previous conversation we had on TFTV. It was clear he has legitimate opinions to defend.

With that mindset we may as well let verbal bullies everywhere in the world do as they please, since it's only their opinion and clearly don't need to be called out for their reprehensible actions.

So then don't read it. I'd have DM'd him but you can't DM someone who doesn't follow you. And I wouldn't compare "evidence please" to a 2000 word essay. A bit of an over-exaggeration, no?

I'd be compelled to believe you if he hadn't responded multiple times solidifying it as a very real opinion of his.

I didn't respond to him because I was afraid of public shame, I responded to him as one peer to another genuinely interested in his logic. Not everything has to be considered "drama".

I wasn't defensive at all. I asked him to share evidence, and if he did, i'd concede my hypocrisy. And he went on to never have a shred of evidence.

I honestly hate that people seem to really think that just because I don't enjoy how the game is being treated I somehow think the game's dead (I know you're goofing but people legitimately fear this)

the "twitter beef" was b4nny accusing me of being 5/5 of his silly list and every time I asked for an example he just responded "g-go look yourself you'll find it eventually...." muselk wasn't involved at all besides pointing out b4nny's obvious logical fallacy

Believe me if there's anybody on this website willing to complain about matchmaking it's going to be me but I've done it so many times I just said it was eventually somewhat functional to get to the point which was that valve believes that they've handled updates well
