It also gives the admins a chance to toy with new maps, whitelist, and other rules and have teams actually play them. Normally if you ask teams to try custom maps and settings in the offseason, very few teams actually will.

No worries about the mistakes. Everyone is glad you're doing these to give HL more outreach. I said the corrections are minor as I felt they didn't really take away anything from the article. And I would have been surprised if you knew about bowswer sniping for us this week.

This page is interesting... It ranks the teams by final wins which puts ginyu #1 and knd #2... I thought there was a page on UGC with the final placements for each season of platinum but I can't find it. Maybe it never existed or maybe I'm thinking of the news articles. It looks like you have to look at the playoff brackets for each of the previous seasons to determine placings.

Some minor corrections:
- mTs beat buffalo 2-0 yesterday. The score was reported to UGC but not yet confirmed by an admin.
- dK placed 5-6th in S14 and 3rd in S13.
- bowswer5 is sniping for knd this week.

ArieThey used a non-protected server twice, and a OVH DDoS protected server twice. The DDoS mitigation of that provider can take up to two minutes to kick in. I don't know if the teams left before it kicking in or if it wasn't effective enough.
Unfortunately the teams didn't try one of the other DDoS protected server options in the EU.
It would also have been nice if all 18 players had taken the normal precautions for showmatches to prevent the gameserver IP from leaking out in the first place.
You know the cast had the !stv command, right?

Haunted ghosts and searing plasma effects don't show up ingame. If you taunt, you will see very faint ghosts for a split second and then they're gone again.
Other effects are probably broken too, but I haven't bothered testing as I don't have that many unusual effects.
