Is there a limit on how many teams have to sign up for people to play like the NA one, or would people play anyway just without a prize pool?

Competitive tournaments should have:

1. Luck minimised in every way possible. Random seeding, or preferably by ranking if there is a valid ranking system.

2. An incentive to win in every round of a tournament. A lot of tournaments end up having problems with tactical throwing due to poor management in a lot of ways, or teams can just stop playing since they either lost or won at a certain point.

3. No collusion between players. These sorts of tactics result in unfair and predetermined games. Shouldn't have to explain why this is a bad thing.

I don't see how you can have these done in battle royale games. Put 100 people vs each other and then you either let top 50 go through, meaning people can just stop playing the game after a certain point. Or you are left with 1 person out of 100, meaning that there would be a massive luck factor left in who goes through from the 100 players.

I just don't see how these tournaments can even work. To me it seems more like a circus, you go and watch cool stuff be done, or you participate in it because you like doing the cool stuff. Nothing is wrong with that, it just isn't competitive.

If new maps are going to be rotated in, it would be nice if they were done so more than two weeks before the season started. I have nothing against trying new maps but a lot of people just refuse to scrim/mix them because "I played it once and it is bad". So you tend to not really get any practice on it until the weeks it's played in come up.

That being said, cardinal looks bad for the same reasons bagel looks bad, and then some. The transitions between points are mazes. Especially second to last. Second point caps really fast, so it is going to be a backcap city (a lot of people find that unenjoyable). Attacking enemy second point with even ubers looks near impossible. It looks like a product forward hold with the size of the doors, just a demoman and soldier are swapped. The map itself looks really big as well; which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it definitely makes some classes feel worse off. A lot of unnecessary props around the place, some poor clipping (not too bad tbh, this is a minor point). The last point looks interesting as well but also looks like a bit of a mess, with some unnecessary areas, like the whole lower area.

As is cardinal looks really anti-fun to play. Mainly because it looks impossible to push out of last or second from due to the multitude of hiding spots for backcaps, and it looks nearly impossible to push or sac into second from mid on even ubers.

Apart from the maze-like foundation of the second to last lobby area, I cannot guarantee my concerns are valid without having played the map a bit. Which is why it would be nice to know about map changes sooner rather than later. The finals from the tournament were done two weeks ago, meaning the decision to actually put the map into the pool could have been made after feedback was gathered at least a week ago.

Not too surprising seeing Ace being difficult to handle. High playoffs season 28 he was trying to get map picks in a specific order. Enemy team didn't accept, they heavy fist fight for it, enemy team wins and Ace lies to admins saying that his team won. Enemy team had stv from the server they fought on though, so admins ruled in favour or enemy team.

Just funny that he lied about the results of a heavy boxing match, but also major sweat at the same time.

Anyone looking for a place to stay, i got a hotel room booked from thursday -> monday that can hold up to 5 people. Cost would be £70 for all 4 nights if you want to stay (350 for whole room for 4 nights, so split by 5). Hotel is 15 mins walk from NEC.
