the headshot cooldown is still there. literally nothing changed except it's pure random if you can headshot anyone. there is no shooting faster and getting mad headshots or whatever you said in #68.

DarkNecridvJillOn the Ambassador change - Keep in mind that revolvers in general already have a pretty tight cone. We found that having a 50% reduced spread on your first shot still results in nearly perfect accuracy at short-to-medium ranges (But, as mentioned, these changes are not set in stone)
Hey, not sure if you'll read this but I gotta try, so first off thanks for posting here & thanks to Valve in general for this kind of communication, I am sure everyone here appreciates it greatly.

I can see where you're coming from, but even if it's nearly perfect accuracy, that's still not perfect and it is randomness. This is the only change I staunchly disagree on, and even the people in this thread who don't play Spy don't like it because it likewise means someone can "miss" and still 102 you. The Ambassador is a pretty skill based weapon even if getting 204'd from long range repeatedly sucks. Please just change it to a longer cooldown on headshots, that way the gun is still skill based for headshots but you can't be long ranged as effectively and die anymore.

Also, I think almost everyone here would also agree on another change: please make tf_damage_disablespread 1 also disable random fall damage spread.

ewwww do you understand how mind numbing adding a longer cooldown on headshots will be? think about a healthy enemy mid ranging you if you have longer cooldown on headshots you just lose or you run away

now think about someone across the map if you 102 them now you have to wait another .3 seconds on top of the current cooldown allowing them to do whatever they want heal/take cover/shoot back/move so you actually cant hit them becasue its across the map

this change to the spread is actually dank if you think about it you can fight people as spy and be good at the game and shit on people

edit: sweet lord I hope valve just lets people try it before listening to everyone

edit: adding a range limit is definitely 1000x better than making the cooldown for headshots longer

how is the amby change a nerf I really dont understand? what % of your shots were shot across the map and of that % how many hit and how many had a follow up to make them matter?

I understand if you randomly 2 shot a sniper across the map or hit a medic for 102 in a comp game maybe that could be played around but most of the time I feel like people are shooting more mid range where you can actually aim and actually kill people

and now if this change is working like I think it is you can shoot a lot faster and get a lot more 102s and actually kill people

viperwolves-yayooothe ambassador is literally the only thing fun about spy
if all you enjoy doing on spy is headshotting people with the ambassador then why not just play sniper

because amby is a lot harder and a lot more fun

4812622All of these are steps in the right direction (good job Valve!) except for Ambassador. If the first shot isn't perfect spread, what's the fucking point? A more sensible nerf would be to just increase the cooldown period until perfect accuracy.

that would be super boring if they nerfed it that way lol who actually equips the amby and sits across the map hitting a pubber for 102 while hes standing still? im assuming that instead of perfect first shot accuracy you get 50% reduced spread at all times and that sounds really fucking fun

can you actually imagine running around fighting people with your gun and killing them really fast without having to wait for this dumpy cooldown shit

revolvers spread is pretty tight already and 50% is a lot of fucking % this change is amazing imo I really hope people dont complain about it super hard and ruin it

I love music and I love downloading it so I can neatly arrange it and never lose it but using public trackers/soulseek or ripping shit off youtube/bandcamp/whatever the heck else is getting a bit old and sometimes I cant find everything I want

quick example kinda newish I think it came out earlier this month at least I can listen to it im thankful for that but id love to DL this and put it in my playlist

was wondering if anyone could share some info on how to get into private trackers

WaTeRMeLoNtr_walkway for training strafes as scout and airshoots with the soldier using the launch-pad and tr_arena_rc2 for all classes also you can train you gamesense at DM and MGE

thanks for the reply I think ive checked out most of those maps before but im looking for something more specific just for me :) I think ive nearly got it figured out with the help of a few peeps on steam

I obviously dont know what this huge disagreement is but I feel like that doesnt have to just end all forms of communication with your teammates if you like them and got along with them in the past disagreeing about whatever the fuck doesnt mean yall dont have to talk even if 1 side or both sides said really dumb shit while angry I feel like you can still hang out and be friends even if it takes a lil while of not talking to eachother or whatevs

and as for getting mad and being paranoid about people shit talking I know exactly how you feel if you want you can use an alt and that sorta fixes it for me but thats just putting a bandaid over a problem that I guess neither of us know how to really fix so with that ill just wish you goodluck

and as for playing bad and shit that tends to happen if you arent having fun and its harder to have fun if you are playing bad its a really awful circle but usually taking a break can fix it
