#72 Mass shooting at Christchurch, New Zealand in World Events

Do you understand how hard it is for a human being to hear someone beg for help, look them in the eye, and kill them? It is hard wired in our instincts to not be able to do that, that is why soldiers need to be trained to kill. This man just did that with absolutely no problem, with the efficiency of a well trained killing machine. he did not need the outside help, he had his own fucked up deranged agenda, his manifesto is an absolute train wreck of ideas, he had no motive other than to just fuck with our society. If you actually look into all of it, this man just decided to go on a killing spree, and throw away his life and the life of 49 others. It was all a joke to him, he was laughing the entire video while he was running people over and shooting a shotgun out his window.

I get we want to make sense of tragedies, it really is a comfort to be able to say, oh well if we change this, then we'll all be ok! But this person wanted to hurt us, and we can't let that divide us. We have to stand strong, together, and accept this tragedy happened, and do our best to heal this wound. It won't be easy, 49 lives can't just be replaced, but we are a resilient race, and we can pick up the pieces and become stronger because of it.

God dammit, that woman was begging for help, begging him not to do this, and he had absolutely no intention of letting her live. 49 lives in one day, they just wanted to do right by their families, raise their sons and daughters, leave the world a better place. and this man just ended all of that. Who the fuck cares about pewdiepie in this situation, 49 families will never be the same and there are people who would fuck with their memories. It's god damn shameful and you know it. Just stop, you know somewhere in your conscience you are letting yourself down.

It gets better, it really does. I don't care how empty that sounds right now, but it does. If you just stick it out, no matter how much it sucks, you can get to a place where life is amazing You have a choice, please. I love you, don't give in to despair.

Gritomai feel so empty and tired all the time and its starting to eat away at my irl life/responsibilities

its like im constantly on the brink of both getting fired and flunking out but all i wanna do is lie down

ive had to cancel scrims because i feel too shitty to lead a team and i feel like im letting them down

You chose to lead this team, you didn't choose to let it ruin your life. You don't owe this game or any of these players your future. You do have a responsibility to yourself, however, and you do owe it to yourself to give yourself the life you were born to live.

What are some things you have overcome or accomplished over the last year that show you have value and appreciate yourself for all the hard-work you put into living this life? You are all so wonderful and amazing, please take a minute to recognize how much effort you are putting forward to better yourself and bring joy and happiness into this world.

Please don't ever feel you are undeserving of love.

#65 Coming out in Off Topic

I didn't rly expect this to take this turn, more made this thread to show people struggling with finding acceptance about certain parts of themselves that there is love, tolerance, and beauty in this world. hate isn't the message to spread, because at the end of the day you have one person to answer to, and that is yourself. if it's dangerous for you to come out as whatever you identify with, yeah don't make a martyr out of yourself, but there are people who will love you no matter what.

there's nothing wrong with using science to understand this, we use the scientific method to understand everything in our world, and nothing stomps out ignorance like love and knowledge. I think there's room for both, but let's not get distracted and start throwing punches when we're all on the same team here.

everyone of you has so much to offer this world, don't ever be ashamed of what you are.

#1 Coming out in Off Topic

hey everyone, I know a lot of people who it's insanely hard to admit their sexuality to their fellow peers, but I'm hoping we can change that. I want an environment where we can accept everyone for who they are, and stomp out discrimination. And if this fails miserably, but you still want to talk to someone about how confusing all these feelings are for you, please add me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
