bump, would be willing to play in open. Can't commit to it as i'm just starting school again and can't really judge how large my workload will be but when I do find out I should be able to play more reliably
Already have QLprism was just hoping there was some way to make a portable version so that I could try playing during my downtime at school.
Since a decent amount of people here seem to play quake I have a few questions since i'm starting to get a bit more serious about Quake specifically dueling.
First
Is there anything like PREC for QuakeLive? I do like looking over my games, it helps me notice mistakes that I can easily fix since I am a very low player right now.
Second
Since I've recently started school again I was trying to figure out if it would be possible to make a portable version of QuakeLive that I could play at school. Since I take the bus to and from school I normally end up with atleast 2 hours extra per day waiting for the bus after i've finished off work.
Third
Since almost all of the duel servers are either on horrible maps (lol spacecamp) or are completely empty I'm looking for some people who wouldn't mind practicing with a newer player.

HngBenroadsnumber keys :oHngdoes anyone have a script which enables a class to have different sens for different weapons? like slot 1 would have a diff sens from slot 2 etc.
Do you use number keys or mousewheel to switch weapons?
1, 2, and 3
maybe not the MOST effective way of doing things but this is how I do them (I use Q,E,F instead of 1,2,3)
alias primary "slot1; r_drawviewmodel 1; sensitivity 3"
alias secondary "slot2; r_drawviewmodel 1; sensitivity 3"
alias melee "slot3; r_drawviewmodel 1; sensitivity 3"
bind 1 primary
bind 2 secondary
bind 3 melee
You can easily change viewmodel/sensitivity settings with that. I also use my own version of the crosshair switcher so that's tacked on at the end in my config.

Maybe he's talking about advspec?
MerchanttruktrukBenroadsDo you think i'd be possible to add a scottish resistance like outline on stickies. I often see casters wondering where a trap is and having the outline would make it far easier for them to point it out. Not sure if this is even possible but it would be fairly neat. This would be amazing but I think it would look like shit if they glowed all the time. If it's possible to make them only glow when they have landed (stuck) on a wall etc, that would be really helpful. If not it'd be nice to have some sort of alternate toggle so if it does get a bit stalematey we can toggle the sticky glow on.
Personally I would like to be able to see stickies and rockets at all times but that might look ugly.
That and I know that there are hacks that put hp on players so something like that could be feasible? And ammo even.
Not sure about ammo but target ids puts health on a player when you go over them.

I think having some kind of timer before they started to glow maybe 10 seconds after deployed or the demo was a certain distance from them (probably unable to do this)
edit: or have some kind of toggle to turn the glow on/off so when they're looking for a trap they could just toggle it on and quickly find the trap.

Hm if he did i'd hope he would chime in on the matter. Also maybe adding a little counter of stickies out next to the demos name on spechud? Would need to be out for longer than 5 or 10 seconds so it doesnt get spammed when they're bursting them.
