London CallingDuring the match against Ding Dong Daddy, Benk had the most relentless string of shit talk I’ve ever seen out of him, with sgp frequently taking the bait to reply. Normally I would never condone psychological warfare in this game of TF2, indeed: every team I’m on I discourage it from my teammates as much as possible. But watching this match, it seemed to be entirely effective because after some sloppy play by Quartz during the second half, it looked like these bros were tilted as fuck. Peyote and crew led some pretty devastating ubers that caught out Quartz more than once, and Benk was there to make sure everyone knew about it.

I understand people's disappointment and agree it could have probably been handled better in this case.
What I don't understand is why people feel like top level players, i'm talking invite in general not just 4g/elevate, have an obligation to act a certain way or operate with a certain level of professionalism. These are literally just people who are good at the game, nothing more. They don't do this professionally. They don't "owe the community" anything more than anyone else who is a part of it. They're just like everyone else only they put in the effort to become really good at tf2. A lot of lower level players look at them as some sort of roll models and i guess that's expected but it's also not something they asked you to do. Shit, a good handful of them are teenagers or early twenties of fucking course they're gonna be flakey.
"Do froyotech care?" Maybe not as much as you do. Who said they have to? Remember that this game is literally a hobby for every single person who plays it.
