Haven't watched the video, but from what I've read here it sounds like the class was just meant to help people not be complete morons in MvM and it certainly sounds like it did the job. Complaining that the basic course didn't cover specific mechanics is like complaining that your first aid class didn't teach you to be a heart surgeon...
I had no idea people nerded out over MvM this much. Good lord.
Talk to your adviser, if you're in college there's usually a student health center, or something like that, with a licensed councilor on staff to help students deal with situations just like this. Talk to them and get some help if you need it.
Cool to see people branching out into different games. A Game of Roles was really well done.
