#4 Can't connect to any mumble servers. in Off Topic

Sounds like a firewall maybe?

If you can ping them or tracert them from command prompt. Then you most likely are either firewalled off or Sherb's is a possibility. But it sounds like you just are not connecting out.

Modem or router?

#13 Help me buy a new laptop in Hardware

Lenovo's will probly be the best bang for the buck. I got mine a few years ago and it runs bf3 and other games flawlessly. The only thing i would recommend with them is a program called throttlestop. It is for intel processors and prevents cpu throttling. You just set it to max multiplier before turbo and your set. My laptop is basically a desktop replacement on the go, it has been amazing.

#1 Xmas countdown extra MVM servers in Off Topic

Merry X-mas to everyone. I finally found some stability and doing some hardware and firmware updates. But in the mean time, i made a couple MVM servers for TF.tv use only (password locked).

One i have started to circulate through the streamers

The other one is:

173.208.239.18:37031
with a password wafer

After the firmware update i will add both to the SRCDS admin i'm using for server management and get hlstatsx back in place with some other fundamentals.

#15 an argument in Off Topic

Just ask her if she would rather you be doing drugs, knocking up girls, and out doing something that could really be a nuisance rather than something you enjoy and doesn't harm anything.

#1 Probly mixed up the ports in Off Topic

27028 is 24/7 badwater
27029 is rotation pub

I think one might be missing from active servers. Added in SRCDS admin for windows management / updating servers.

Next tasks:

It isn't a matter of expecting better performance, ubuntu was freezing causing system downtime.

#16 Overclocking Potential in Hardware

I've noted with any of the AMD's you will need a good aftermarket. I have a 1090T a couple steps above and it will do 4.0ghz on air with under 50c.

I would estimate that the 1035 can do the same(.8ghz up clock). According to most you should be able to hit 3.2-3.4 without worrying about anything with the proper cooler. Stock? I wouldn't rely on much.

One thing you can test, is use AMD overdrive for the initial software clock to see what you can do without BSOD'ing. Then hard clock it in bios. Make sure you have a temperature guage such as core temp. running. typically you stay under 55c under full load and it will be fine. Above 55+cc i've found it will act weird.

I use a hyper 212 evo for my board and it's a gigabyte 890gx, mid grade max. mobo, Handles fine.

#1 TF.tv pubs migrating to a windows load in Off Topic

I'm waiting on billing to get back to me. Ubuntu has been causing far to many issues and panics. Most likely going to move to a windows server load.

The repairs and current work on it has been frustrating, sorry for the downtime.

Been busy with work to really attend to anything. Happy holidays!

#12 Those in need of servers in Off Topic

Hi, i like to open my business with a very unstable base. I like to then proceed to move all around the US with my locations and on top of that lie about my hardware then claim that the dedicated box's are much more cheap and efficient after realizing no one gives away 960GB solid state drives. I then like to throw out pretty words like 1000 fps and 500 fps and boosted for an engine capped at 66. I'm also recognized as a scammer on multiple TF2 sites. Never will i let such childish tactics get me down, I'll show them!

If you would like to purchase or rent a server from me please send me an e-mail.

Thanks,
Apollo

On the other hand. Good luck FragReady. It is unfortunate Embercore was even mentioned as he was extremely poor in selling himself and explaining anything which led to his own downfall.

#22 The browser you loved to hate in Off Topic

When you get so far behind after making a statement in the IT world. You are bound to get hate. They said IE was secure, there were exploits and other causes that could potentially cost companies millions in losses from security issues. They said it was faster, it was plummeting behind any other browser and crashed most of the time. They said it was better, it is just now catching up to what everyone else already has.

IE plain and simple just was never what it was said to be and catching up has been a painful process. "Progress" fits the browser perfectly because they are far from the top.

p.s. on another note windows 8 is doing their typical run off. In the past 2 weeks over 30+ exploits which were potential game breakers for any business as in you lose all your shit over a simple bug to joe nilly. Progress.

Progress.
