#51 Muselk's criticism of the MyM update in TF2 General Discussion

Tbh he DOES play the game, and he's not talking about competitive, just about matchmaking, but it's Muselk, fuck him and his opinion, amirite? Does that get me upvotes here?

Though I do think that Casual would be better than Quickplay, IF quickplay hadn't already killed most community servers.

#67 Heavy & Pyro: How could they be changed? in TF2 General Discussion

How about nerfing fire so that it does shit damage on it's own and focusing on combos with On Fire mechanics? And maybe change airblast to only reflect projectiles and not players. That would open up space for some new cool weapons utilizing On Fire, as well as a slight buff to flare guns to compensate. All while keeping the core class mechanics the same. Because let's face it, Valve aren't gonna change the flamethrower into a Quake LG. It needs to remain relatively easy to play for new players too.

Doom1Apparently it's finished and they are waiting for release. Heard it from someone on reddit saying he heard it from b4nny.

That sounds like a very credible source!

#7 Valve give us viewmodel options&community support in TF2 General Discussion

I would like to see full viewmodel customization options, as it is in CS:GO. At the very least, I see no reason for locking viewmodel_fov.

And while I can see the reason behind locking r_drawviewmodel (so that people watching streams aren't confused about which weapon is the streamer using), I don't necessarily agree that we should sacrifice customizability and comfort of players for that reason.

#205 TF2 Blog: "The Meet Your Match Update is Coming" in TF2 General Discussion
HAWTHORNEPyro needs some reworking, airblast is insane, you can control anyones movement and you get crits on demand with the unlocks (unlocks that won't be banned).

How is not obvious it needs a rework.

Thing is, they are unclear on whether this class update is gonna be a rework or just new weapons and hats and shit. Pyro needs the rework more, but if it's just new stuff, Heavy should get it imo

azarunteamfortress.comTwo men enter! One man leaves! Followed shortly after by the other man, also leaving!

But! Even though both of those men will be allowed to leave, and both will be unharmed, and there will have been no real consequences as a result of them entering, and they may actually go on to be dear friends, only one of them will get a future Class Update!

But! Okay, both of them might get new Class Updates at some point. In fact, it's highly likely they both will.

But! Only one of them will get it first.
So both of them will get new weapons just not in the same update.

This, both of them get new stuff, the WAR is only about who gets it first.

"Update notes coming soon"
DAMMIT DON'T TEASE ME ANYMORE

EDIT: Also tbh, couldn't they give us at least full customization of the viewmodels' position like in CS:GO?

#15 Pyro vs Heavy? in TF2 General Discussion
niteyou ever heard of a joke man

When every time Pyro/Heavy gets mentioned, it's all shitposts about how cancer they are, then maaaybe the joke has gone too far.

#11 Pyro vs Heavy? in TF2 General Discussion

This forum is becoming too much of a pyro/heavy hating circlejerk. I get it, you won't see them in your beloved 6v6 99% of the time and if you did, they would make the experience worse, so they're irrelevant to you. Doesn't change the fact that they are a part of the game, and TF2 wouldn't be what it is without them. And with the competitive update coming, it's likely you will see some pubbers trying out matchmaking and playing pyro and heavy all the time because it's their favorite class. And if you get all condescending about how pyro and heavy is cancer, you will discourage them from competitive.

(plus who knows, maybe the rebalances in this update will make pyro and heavy have their place in competitive too, you never know)

no class or weapon restrictions

Well... I expected no banned weapons, but 2 class limit would seem... reasonable.

#447 unpopular tf2 opinions in TF2 General Discussion

I'd rather play new maps more often even if they're not balanced that well, than play the same 4 maps or so all the time. Applies to CS:GO as well.

#4 What was your first experience in competitive TF2? in TF2 General Discussion
LoserSo many shitty threads

what's so wrong about this thread? if this is how the community's gonna welcome all new players interested in comp then you can say bye bye to tf2 comp ever growing into a real esport.

#6 Will third party comp lobby sites become obsolete? in TF2 General Discussion

It depends. I mean, if Valve's MM will evolve into a proper 6v6 with class limits and a whitelist, then I imagine TF2Center and the like will definitely die. Sites like TF2Pickup would probably still survive though as they usually have better players playing there, require comms and can also cater to specific whitelist needs, if Valve's whitelist is imperfect.

But that's all speculation, we don't know where Valve's gonna go with MM.

#7 SFM TIME LAPSE in Videos

It's not really a timelapse, looks like it's playing on full speed, which means you made these posters in approx. 5 minutes and it shows. Try spending a bit more time on them, do more interesting poses, play with the lighting more (putting one light in and calling it done is not a good way of doing it) and improve your composition.
