#32 Esports Arena Rewind announced in News
SnivyPrizes

You can also contribute by purchasing limited edition Rewind LAN t-shirts,

Is there a way of purchasing these shirts that doesn't require the purchaser having a US registered credit card?

Donated $20. Worth it for the pleasure your play has given me.

Don't forget to change your "Action/game" to TF2 to turn your seat brown.

edit: because I'm not as quick as I used to be

Looks like it's gone live again. Are we all piling in to the Lower Ground like last year?

#67 Razer Arena adds TF2 in TF2 General Discussion
HerganThey set TF2's webpage to teamfortress2.com instead of teamfortress.com on it's Razer page. Really Razer???

KritzKast is actually sitting on that domain at the moment. We offered to Valve a while back but nothing came of it. Normally it points to one of the "everything you ever wanted to know about TF2" sites like http://community.tf or http://essentials.tf but the link got screwed up in our last server move.

I'm sure Razer-Right will get the message to the right people soon enough.

#1 i55 seat picker in TF2 General Discussion

Hey, just wondering what floor/room we're all supposed to be picking seats in for i55 LAN? i52 was in the Lower Ground last year, are we planning to stay in the basement again this year?

Update: - 1st July 2015
Multiplay have released their new "seat picker date" of Friday 6pm BST|7pm CEST|10am PST|1pm CST

People were booking extra seats for their tents so I think the seating going to be flashed clean. IF you've booked your seat before this time, you haven't booked your seat at all.

CHERRYWhat was the first one?

You never forget your first one. And it's vastly off topic here, find me at LAN, get me drunk and I'll tell you almost nothing about it there too

ConcordiaAgro I can't verify mine too ;_;

Yup. Just tried it myself can confirm; like a teenager breaking up for the first time, it's not you, it's not me it's just this damned system.
Give it a few. We may need to do something horrible with code. (I've also used that line to break up, went better than the first one).

@concordia noted, it's on the list.

I figure there's some high expectations that were set with the holding/sign up page before we released, and now that the site is accessible I feel we should say something on when those expectations are going to be met.

Firstly, the site has been opened up as a limited alpha. This means that some of the things we were pushing as features aren't actually in the public code yet. That includes DVR and Kudos. On the up-side they are coming, along with things like the how-to stream pages and some unadvertised features. Like "no-adverts". We'll do a blog post about that soon.

One of the bigger issues we have right now is that we're bootstrapping this whole endeavour. We're not without personal resources but those can only stretch so far. As of time of writing we can probably only have 4 or 5 people streaming at once. (not a typo). Even with that in mind we can still only do so much testing ourselves. Which brings me on to why we've opened the doors a crack. For us alpha is all about trusted feedback. WEAV.tv's original team all knew each other from playing TF2. We know you guys, and can trust you to give us useful, valuable, constructive feedback. So we're relying on you to poke holes in our site and report back the problems you find and the features you want.

We will always have a soft spot in our hearts for TF2. You know weav got you.

GetawhaleI went to the site, clicked the "About" link and got a 401 error. How can I get more info?

It shall remain forever a mystery.

Or you could just ask me.

#330 How to Get to In-Game Comp Lobbies in TF2 General Discussion

First off I've only read the first 7 pages of this thread so apologies if what I type here is a repeat of someone else's post.

One way I see this rolling out is to pick class then get queued into a random lobby that's missing that player class, or else get a group of friends/team together and queue to join when a lobby server has space for all. Not sure how the matchmaking will work but happy to let Valve engineers fix that.

'Game' starts and each player picks a weapon they don't want the other team to have. Take it in turns or all at once, doesn't matter. You're informed if your team has already made that selection, and if they have you pick again. Then a 2nd round of voting occurs as before. In lobby this will probably become a meta game as it is with DOTA2. In comp this format will allow the casters to discuss the weapons and the potential strats that come from each one being removed. Gives a chance to introduce a narrative that's currently missing from most shoutcasts. After 2nd round of voting a white list is formed and your GUI with cross out the weapons you can't pick.

It should be set up so that each player will be denied a total of two weapons from their possible load outs. Many weapons considered OP will become staples of the "ban list" but they won't ever be banned before the voting starts.

This will lead to absolutely mad load outs, things that have never been tried before in comp or lobby. Players will learn how to play with and without their trusted weapons and the audience will be enraptured by the myriad of strats and maneuvers that appear.
