TF2 Randomly Freezes/Crashes with Audio Loops

For a while now my tf2 has been getting random crashes where the screen freezes and the audio will continuously loop. It's been happening more and more recently and makes it very tough for me to play in my league matches when I crash in half of them.
Here's a video example of what happens (not my video, but identical to my problem)

Does anybody know of a fix for this? I've already tried lowering my gpu overclocks, verifying the integrity of tf2, switching from mastercomfig 7 (the app installed one) to a regular file version of mastercomfig, and changing a whole host of windows settings. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this issue years ago on my old q9400 system. I ended up tracking it down to unstable ram settings.

How would I fix the issue? Is there some setting I can change or do I need to get new ram?
