Sorry- I know there are 34385438574 threads about crosshairs, but I can't find one specific enough to my situation so that I can actually do it myself. And I know almost nothing about TF2 configs and huds and such.

I'm using a cfg generated by tf2mate and omphud (OMP IF YOU READ THIS I LOVE YOU). The tf2mate thing included broesel crosshair switcher, and doesn't give me the option to use konrwings as a crosshair for just my scout primary like I want to. I really want yz50's version of it, the symmetrical one. I like the green dot in the middle too. If someone could explain to me how to change my files so that I'll get this crosshair instead of the cross I use now (with the broesel crosshair switcher thing), that would be great. I'd also like to keep my settings in the crosshair switcher for everything else, like viewmodels, fov, etc. for all classes. If I left stuff out that is necessary to you helping me, let me know! :D

Thanks!

It's a hud crosshair. Also, you would have to use it for primary, secondary, and melee as scout.

you could use the achievement tracker method. (http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/4134/1)

Do you want to use the konrwings in conjunction with broesel's crosshair switcher? Either way, wether you want to just use the konrwings, or use broesel's crosshair swicher with konrwings, you can't do that with any corsshair switcher. You'll have to completely add the fonts etc to your hud.

See this post to learn how to do that

Well, I really don't care that much if I had to use it for primary, secondary, and melee (as long as it's only on scout). I've actually figured out how to use the default crosshair just for primary, but I don't think it'll work the same way with konrwings.

Correct, there is no true way to use a hud-xhair for one class or one weapon only. Once you've added a hud-xhair, it is there for good (unless you disable it of course.)

Okay. That's not so bad, I guess. I don't really play many other classes where it would matter, I guess.

Now, where can I find yz50's version in his hud/cfg?

I remember there was a youtube video of yz50's pov and it had a link in the description to his hud (with the hud xhair files and all included.) Unfortunately I have no idea how to find that video now.

I have it! Thanks so much, everyone who helped. Will those files be in clientscheme.res and hudlayout.res?

For the most part, yes, those files are essentially the ones containing all the stuff you'll need. Just be sure to follow that post I linked you very carefully. Be prepared to spend a little time getting it working properly. GL

the ones I have posted in my youtube vid descriptions are busted I think, an update forced me to remove a file (forgot which one) that glitched some stuff up

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?bvm40ahhtvc9976

just copy/pasted my settings into that rar

the actual crosshair I use is in the garm3nfont.ttf, if you go into that you'll notice some look different than the others. the one I fixed is "z" in that font file, as far as I know the rest aren't symmetrical. I use the "none" crosshair (cl_crosshair_file "") for the dot in the middle and to make the brackets thicker and more noticeable. keep in mind that I have my hud crosshair setup to go on top of the cl_crosshair_file "", not by itself. you're going to have to adjust your tf2 in-game crosshair size (cl_crosshair_scale 32 for me) to go right on top of the hud crosshair. the "none" crosshair looks the way it does for me because of my mat_picmip 2. also make sure you're referencing the right letter in the hudlayout.res or else you'll be using one of the other crosshairs in that font file. good luck
