https://www.dropbox.com/s/2rk0rlttj657zrb/no_hats_no_effects_dec17.vpk?dl=0 (paste into Team Fortress 2\tf\custom)

This makes all cosmetic items released until january 2018 invisible.
It also includes an old particle remover for unusuals. I didn't notice any performance gains.
To anyone with a somewhat suitable and modern computer, this probably purely has aesthetic benefits.

I am not the original author. I merely update and redistribute because nobody else is doing it.
Credits go to Tricky_X for creating NoHatsMod, to Hrbls, springrolls, xJeebsx and probably more people i don't know about for updating it. I can't find out who made the particle remover, but that's also not my work. Props to him/her.

Known Issues:
-Some hats still occasionaly show (common examples are the Last Breath and the Tyrant's Helm)
-The unusual remover is outdated and unreliable
-Missing default hats and body parts (pyro's head, scout's/demo's feet) whenever the mod removes an item that was meant to replace a part of the default model

Created a new thread to make sure this doesn't get lost in the comments, since it is quite a step up from the last one and because that was also a new thread containing an update to an existing one.

If this does what it promises to do, it is actually quite a step up from the old no hats mod and does deserve its own thread tbh

The old nohats mod thread that planck linked is literally stickied in the Customization sub-forum, and the github linked in the first post has the most recent version (same as in this thread.) I appreciate you spreading the word but this is unnecessary.

Alright so I uploaded this thinking the main thread had an outdated version from may 17 as it states, but the file on GitHub is up to date and identical to what i made minus particle remover. This thread is indeed redunant, sorry.
