Steelseries rival 300 issues, fix/new mouse?

My steelseries rival 300 has been acting up lately, it was at first starting to flick to the middle of the screen like some kind of aimlock (similar to this but much faster and in the middle of my screen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v93MzP8aZew )

I went to the steelseries engine and uninstalled it + installed the latest version of the engine and then tried to update the firmware but it failed on both versions of the engine, i've been looking online for firmware without the issues but i cant seem to find anything. (Steelseries engine says i am on firmware version 0.32.0.0)

So, does anybody know a version of steelseries firmware which doesnt have these issues with the rival 300, or perhaps another fix?

Otherwise i will most likely look for a new mouse, which in that case, does anybody happen to know a good mouse without these issues? (meaning good mouse, good software and no aids firmware)

That's the thing, the firmware update fails every time i try it, i'll retry it now and see what it says.

Unplug your mouse then press and hold the left, right and DPI switch buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds. Plug the mouse back in and open up Steelseries Engine it should now allow you to install the firmware update by clicking the red text in My Gear under the Rival 300 listing.

Ok, I retried the update and it failed once again, it says "An error occurred that prevented the successful completion of the firmware update"

When it failed the mouse didnt turn back on so i had to unplug it and then plug it back in again.

Is there anywhere else that i can install the firmware, or firmware that worked without the issues? or perhaps any other fixes anyone might know.

I tried that just now, It didn't work, But i might have pressed the wrong buttons, the only DPI button on the mouse i know of is the one just behind the scroll wheel, do you mean the two buttons on the side of the mouse as well?
