is it worth it? mainly just want to do it for emulators. am i still able to use the phone ( calling / imessage ) and use other apps? its an iphone 5s, and the warrant might've already been taken away since it was previously owned. is there a downside to jailbreaking?

Everything works normally, this is like the most middle school question ever lmao. You'll be fine just read a guide online on how to do it.

There is no downside. If you brick your phone, you won't have to to use an iphone 5s anymore. You only stand to gain-

you can't brick your phone by jailbreaking, worst case you have to restore. which is why you backup.

warranty literally doesn't matter, you can restore and they won't check to see if you jailbroke. i stopped doing it when i was on ios because i ended up only using phantom for snapchat and learnt to live without it

apple purposefully killing old phone's battery lives XD

jailbreaking doesnt use battery, tweaks/themes and stuf uses it. emulators wont run all the time so won't kill his battery life
