Anyone know about audio gear?

Hello everyone! I'm not too keen when it comes to Audio gear, but I'm looking to get a replacement audio mixer for my audio coming from my computer. Astro did this in a great way with their mixamp, using two signals, one from optical and one from USB. USB would be communications like skype, mumble, etc and optical was gaming audio. It allowed you to balance the audio between the two when outputting to a single headphone jack. Anyone know of an alternative? Astro is decent but not the best in quality.

Would this work? TASCAM US-366 4-In/6-Out or 6-In/4-Out USB Audio Interface https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7DN59W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5BGiyb096D35M

Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty decent an alternative may be this? I've been using the scarlett for a long time now, and I can say that it is the best one out there for the money.

Ah alright. Are the inputs for it the front xlr and 1/4" jack? I'm assuming the gain knobs allow to adjust both the inputs from each? I guess I could go from xlr to USB and from 1/4" to optical.

Ideally I want to take two inputs and output them to a single headphone.

If you want 2 inputs then maybe a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2?

From a PC? What exactly do you need an audio interface for?

Well currently I'm running an Astro mixamp. It combines a USB audio source with an optical audio source and outputs it to a headset. It has two dials as well, one controls the main volume and the other balances the volume between the two sources. I'd like to replicate this but with a higher quality unit.

you don't want a digital interface for that. It's gonna add a lot of latency

How so? And how much? It is audio afternoon an not input devices. Do you have a suggested setup?
