The State of TF2, Post-Valve Meetings

To expand on what I said earlier:
The most telling things to me about the state of the TF2 team and their problems taking the game forward aren't the massive glaring faults like the disastrous MM launch. Anyone can see how that just wasn't up to scratch and I believe with time Valve can bring it up to standard, after all they do maintain CS:GO and Dota 2.

The things that make me worry the most are things like Valve adding that pointless shove attack to the shortstop. It just speaks to how little they seem to understand about what has a meaningful impact on how the game plays and how seriously they're taking the issue of game balance.
Sure, with the shortstop it's a harmless little gimmick but it really makes me worry about what awful thing the team might think is a good addition to the game in the upcoming pyro update, (whenever that might actually happen) or perhaps more likely just what existing awful thing they might not address at all.
I can only hope they prove me wrong.
