Mouse deactives from the game itself sometimes, and I have no idea how to fix it without going on full screen mode, is there any way to have it to it'll stay on the game exepct if I hit escape or windows button while still staying on window mode?

Thanks and god bless

this happens because the game tries to keep your cursor at the center of your screen but your DPI is so high that it moves out of the screen before the game can snap it back.

fixes:

  • lower your dpi and adjust your in game sensitivity accordingly
  • use fullscreen
  • use a tool that keeps your mouse locked to your primary monitor, someone in this reddit thread has one

Don't use windowed mode on 8+. If you have WDM enabled (not disableable in win8+) it forces vsync which causes massive input lag. You can still get away with it on 7 and lower by running in classic mode.

I use windows 7 and got 1550 DPI with 4.00 ingame sens, I'll try what Lansky said about using a tool to lock it on my primary monitor, but wouldn't it still go off sort of? Like just tf2 not picking up what I did with my mouse at that exact second?

Edited: lowerd my DPI to 1000 and ingame sens to 6.00, hopefully it will happen a lot less frequent now :>

if you really wanna use window noborder in tf2 with win7 just get cursor lock

i used it for the longest time before i switched back to fullscreen for better frames
