OtakuScott's Highlander Tournament DISCUSSION

So as some of you may or may not be aware, I will be hosting a 6v6 and Highlander tournament after ESEA S12.

http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/447-north-american-tf2-6s-highlander-tournament/

Now, I want to get some opinions on Highlander. A very informed highlander player has helped me a little, but this is still a problem... he's just ONE person and doesn't represent the whole community. While his ideas were very good and very helpful, I need support and discussion from the rest of the community.

sdogg2m1) Use established highlander maps.
2) Try not to deviate too much from the highlander weapons ban list. We argue about the wrangler but extremely few weapons are discussed. Keep it as close as possible.

One of the main points (although it is not discussed anymore) was to offer an alternative to UGC Highlander. Using the same map list and weapon bans seems pointless as I'd have no way to attract people, as UGC has an established website and system. No one would go for the new guy unless it offers something new and different.

tournaments and seasons are inherently different, I don't see why the map list/weapon bans need to be different either

I actually want to run my own league, but I decided to start as a much smaller Tournament. So everything is set up like a league besides the actual match times/match scoring system.
