can't connect to voice with button on lobby sites

So for some strange reason, and it hasn't been as much of a deal since before I only played lobbies to practice my positioning and other things, I've never really been able to connect to mumble from the button on the webpage when a lobby launches. I've just gotten used to manually connecting to the mumble channels but the one time that I went to play on pugchamp I had to get someone to sub for me since it was taking ages to do a manual connect and kept failing.

Using google chrome, latest version of mumble, Windows 8.1 OS

Any help?? I want to get away from playing lobbies and play more pugchamp because I know that I'm going to get better faster that way

I think I've tried that, but I'll see if that works if what unskilled suggested doesn't work

Have you tried this? Its listed on the tf2center faq as a solution to your problem. The section about handlers seems to be what they're referring to

tried messing around with this, but nothing came of it

I did note that when I hovered over the join mumble button, this came up:

mumble://Koncept@mumble.tf2center.com/%23735241?version=1.2.0

could it be that I have a later version of mumble that it doesn't work seeing that the apparent listed version is 1.2.0?

Hmm, maybe try installing that version and see if it fixes the issue

Also is your problem specific to the mumble button on lobby sites or are other similar links (that launch third party programs via your browser) broken too? Can you, say, click the server connect button on tf2c and have it launch tf2 and connect you to the server, or click a torrent magnet link and have your torrent program open or is that fucked as well

Try deleting the line

"mumble":false,

in your Local State file in the chrome user data directory (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data on Windows)

apologies for the late reply, didn't see that someone else replied to this.

mine has this

"mumble":true,

instead of this

"mumble":false,

should I change the value to false? or just delete the part of the code and then restart my browser?
