No need to any hud update files except the default ones by running extract_base_hudfiles.bat to get the streams list in the main menu.

Might change the look of it a little so longer titles fit and the box is less tall and doesn't overlap with the item promo screen at the bottom.

Easy to change in Clientscheme.res by changing the name for DamageTextColor or moving it up out of BaseSettings to Colors and defining RGBA values

Some small changes and a new addition:
- Engineer building status panels were fixed to not overlap when built & active
- Fixed ubercharge in tournament spectator being aligned on the left
- Overhead player names don't bleed through hud elements anymore
- Streams list to use Twitch purple and always show 'twitch.tv/' and be more compact

For the people who downloaded the hud this week, you should already have the new Twitch streams list look:

WietHUD has been updated with fixed animations, increased playerpanel size & reworked stopwatch hud element to also support Matchmaking. Some small fixes for MvM, centered the Freezepanel killer name and repositioned the icons now representing the rank in the MM Lobby leaderboards to be on the left.

@mba: if I don't make changes to the clientscheme.res that should still work. You could make a #base file to replace fonts which stay after updates (I think the noto open sans replacement is still available but incomplete if you need a template)

Alright so I found 2 small bugs in the hud.

First I found that the xp bar in casual doesn't fit correctly,

Second I found that when I first start up the game and enter casual or matchmaking this weird thing happens where the menu where in casual you select maps and in matchmaking you see history just get absolutely fucked. It's fixed by just going back to the main menu than going back to the previous menu.

Otherwise fantastic release! I missed this hud so much, hands down the best hud I have ever used!

I've noticed some small bugs & issues after release as well, caught up on some sleep and will fix those asap and post an update.

The Ranked Bar thing I didn't even realize was broken because I didn't actually play the game besides some MM without having those elements modified :P And the entire end of round panel needs to be the same as what I initially had for the MM beta, which looks way prettier!

Time to catch up on some of recent the updates/additions:

  • Update to DamagedPlayer animation event should now stop making your game lag when setting people on fire/dealing damage to multiple enemies/using medic shield in MvM (info)
  • Extraction status indication in the .bat file
  • Rematch buttons in the UI match the hud theme
  • Centered 'Disconnect' button in Ranked/Casual end of round screen (is now on top instead of bottom)
  • Stats in Lobby panel (casual/ranked) have improved look (3 columns with 2 rows)
  • Reworked code for lobbypanels/containerframes
  • Added the horizontal healthbars as displayed above
  • Modified PassTime hud to be less obnoxious (old)
  • Various minor fixes

You would have to remove it in MainMenuOverride.res, make the 'find game' button full width again, lose the Create Server + button and also remove the button(s) from GameMenu.res

I don't seem to understand how to activate the hud crosshair that is shown on the screenshot album, is you could explain how to do that it would be appreciated. And one other thing: I also wonder how you get the cross-shaped health bar that is shown in the screenshot album.

The cross shaped health only works for player health and can be (re)enabled by commenting out the big_health_numbers line (2nd one) in resource/ui/HudPlayerHealth.res (adding 2 slashes in front of it disables the #base include)

Hud Crosshairs aren't really supported anymore, however the crosshairs/hudcrosshairs.res file is still available, changing line 7 to be 'visible 1' and adding the following line as first line to for instance HudPlayerClass.res should still enable it:

#base "../../crosshairs/hudcrosshairs.res"

1. how do you set it so the health actually turns red when you have less than half health? when i get to 118 health on solly my health goes red and i dont like that. how would you go about fixing it?

2. my health cross behind my health numbers is a little bit off, probably due to my resolution. I went to resource/ui/hudplayerhealth.res and tried to change it there, but no luck. Any way to fix this?

1. Open HudPlayerHealth.res and change the value of HealthDeathWarning to 0.49 (the default value)

It looks like I removed a line from HudPlayerClass.res possibly enabling those.

I'm updating some files with more documentation and also referring to the Easy TF2 Crosshairs created by omni for more flexibility, as I do not provide (m)any but do support custom crosshairs with WietHUD; because that repo for all the crosshairs already exists and shouldn't be too hard to add.
