Prec Problem

I've been having this problem with prec for the past week. I know it's something I've done because it happened directly after I changed my prec settings.
So basically my prec files aren't saving as .dem files. They are saving as JPEG images. I know it's probably a really simple fix and I'm just stupid, but if anyone could help me out that'd be great :)

What did you change? The images might be because you put the auto screenshot on, and you might not get new demos because you put something like only keep demos where you did a bookmark.

Well these are my prec settings:
prec_mode "2"
prec_notify "1"
prec_min_streak "2"
prec_sound "0"
prec_screens "1"
prec_dir "prec"
prec_log "1"
bind "q" "prec_mark"

So in my "prec" folder I see JPEG images but no .dem files

the demos should save to your tf folder not your prec folder

ye but he has prec_dir "prec" so it should be in the prec folder...

There's a command called prec_delete_useless_demo. Set that to 0 and see if the problem persists.

The demos should still be playable if you rename them to demoname.bsp from demoname.jpg

Edit: unless they actually are images and not demos saved with the wrong filetype

ShpeeismeThere's a command called prec_delete_useless_demo. Set that to 0 and see if the problem persists.

That command never worked unfortunately.

demoname.dem, actually. demoname.bsp would be a map.
