Interp's a pretty personal thing, your network connection is different to other people's networks. That said, with a perfect connection with no dropouts and a very low ping, having cl_interp and cl_interp_ratio set at the lowest (15.2 ms) will lead to the most accurate hitboxes with the smallest delay possible. If your network drops even a few packets every now and then, increasing your interp becomes more worth it. I play on the highest possible for ozfortress servers (30ms iirc), because Australian internet is shit and I drop packets all the time.

Paging Setsul
From my own experience, higher lerp (30.3 or 33ms) is the best for hitscan as the hitreg is slightly better but you suffer from slight delay between your shots being registered
Lower lerp (15.2) works best on projectile classes where you don't really have to be that accurate as you have splash damage - your shots are less accurate but you also have less delay

http://www.teamfortress.tv/11394/ Also worth noting, a lot of info for nerds and people who just want to know what values to use and why

Can someone just make a massive post for this in a new thread with solid information and advice. Sticky it so people stop asking the same question over and over again.

How can you be so fucking dense? Why do you think you can change those cvars? Because there are no magic values that work for everyone all of the time.
There is no such thing as a perfect connection. Otherwise you couldn't notice any difference on LAN (which is still not perfect but pretty close).

The values that work for most of the players most of the time have been regurgitated so often that I'm sick of repeating them.

If you had a penny for every post how many pennies would you have?
