so i got a new pc a few months back after using a laptop for years. On the laptop id been using a wireless connection with no problems but with the new pc i started using an ethernet cable. everything was fine- download speed a bit better, etc. but when i started playing tf2, every once in a while my game would lag for a second or two. obviously this is not ideal and very annoying and usually results in me dying. i assumed it was just a problem with the cable, but after playing overwatch and csgo, i noticed i had no problems whatsoever- the lag is purely a tf2 thing and i have no idea whats causing it. net_graph 3 shows nothing and ive tried uninstalling tf2 + reinstalling, and uninstalling my cfg but nothing has helped. wtf is wrong???

Are you on Windows 10? I used to get this after I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

I haven't had this issue in the past but I say it's worth a try to verify integrity of game cache if you haven't tried that yet.

i have this same thing with csgo

like my choke% would shoot to like 50-60 and lag me out terribly for like 10-15 seconds, mostly only on non-valve / 128-tick servers though?

idk if it's the same thing though
