I will be taking my PC with me to Vancouver from the USA on a plane. Has anybody ever done anything like this before and what should I know other than taking my harddrive/gpu with me on the plane?

If you have a huge CPU cooler/ water cooling, I would take them off and ship them respectively. Other than that, make sure is is well padded inside of whatever bag you put it in and you should be fine.

What size is your PC? I had a mini ITX rig so I was just able to put it in my luggage and use my clothes for padding
