Deleting too many demos can delete tf folders.

So I've had this issue twice in a row, where if you delete around 30 demos at a time, it will delete a folder from tf or any of its subfolders, the first time it deleted maps folder, and the second time, today, it deleted my custom.

Just something to be aware of when cleaning out old demos.

You should pay more attention to what you delete

Yeah, you should watch what you delete :D Stuff like that won't happen randomly. I delete 200-300 demos at a time and nothing happens. I'll try more, maybe magic will happen

My guess is, you were inside the custom/maps folder, went back to tf, held down the multiselect key to select all the demos you wanted to delete and it also marked the last folder you were in (maps/custom) because it was still technically selected when you clicked back.

pro tip just dragging your mouse across the screen and pressing delete over mostly .dem files doesnt guarantee you wont delete anything else

Poor dude - just trying to give a friendly PSA and gets roasted

But yeah I have to concur, whenever I used to clear out all my demos between ETF2L seasons I never had this problem and I'm the kind of moron who leaves P-REC on all the damn time without noticing so it records every scrim and shit. You probably do just need to be more careful where you click and drag man
